Nietzsche, Jung, the modern world, meaning in life. Academy of Ideas on how we arrived at this point in history where far too many wander in the wilderness, lost.

One must remember that whether it be governments or churches or other institutions, the issues are not in and of themselves the institutions but instead the wretched, often evil, creatures who have come to dominate them.

Western Men have become in love with worldly possessions and the Western Liberal Democratic decadent lifestyle(porn, gaming, netflix, etc), which has caused their pacifism and apathy and an unwillingness to face up to the reality of what is going on in the West and a desire to "live in peace" and "be left alone" to their individual lives. Peace is just a desire, the West must always be fought for.

When philosophy and music combine to produce a masterpiece of truth

3 months, 1 week ago

Stephen Hicks takes the listener on a journey that few have undertaken. He brings alive the philosophical underpinnings of the Nazi movement, from Kant to Hegel and Marx, and finally Nietzsche. Far from seeing the National Socialist movement as an aberration, he considers it a natural phenomenon that arose from a culturally distinct way of viewing the world – a collectivist, anti-democratic, anti-capitalistic, and anti-liberal ideology, rooted in psychological theories that glorified instincts and feelings over reason, believed that war was necessary, healthy and even majestic, and was violently anti-Semitic.

The author’s clarity of thought is evident throughout the book, as he brings his considerable understanding of philosophy to bear on a topic that continues to be controversial; namely, to what extent were the Nazis correct in seeing Nietzsche as an intellectual ally? Hicks identifies five areas in which they were similar and five areas where they differed fundamentally. Nietzsche thought of anti-Semitism as a moral sickness, viewed Christianity as a worse and more dangerous variation of Judaism, and thought that German culture was degenerate and infecting the rest of the world. He praised the Jews and believed that the superior man or Übermensch, could be manifested in any racial type.

What is most disturbing is that the Nazi movement took hold and was very popular in a country that was arguably the most educated and philosophically advanced on the planet. To this day, the same philosophies that gave birth to it, continue to be advocated. Germany was only just defeated by the Allied forces, in a physical war, costing tens of millions of lives. However, the philosophies were not banished. We are once again seeing collectivist, anti-capitalistic, anti-democratic, anti-Semitic, and illiberal attitudes being promoted in Western societies. This time, the enemy is not a foreign nation but an enemy within. Hicks makes a plea that Liberal philosophies need to directly confront the German philosophies; better a war of ideas than a loss of human life.

Stephen Hicks is the professor of philosophy at Rockford University, where he is also Executive Director of the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship. He is the author of Nietzsche and the Nazis, Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault and co-editor of The Art of Reasoning: Readings for Logical Analysis. Hicks earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1991 and his B.A. (Honours) from the University of Guelph, Canada in 1981.

In 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra', Nietzsche explains that the coming Overman is rather humanity's transition toward the birth of a New God. At that point, humanity shall perish. The belief in a future God that must be born of this universe stems from a long Jewish tradition. It is the tradition of Tikkun olam, the belief that the world is broken, and that people must work to repair 'her', in preparation for the New God's arrival. And this is problematic, for it means Nietzsche is not the man right-wing thinkers hoped he was.

Which Way Western Man? by William Gayley Simpson Full PDF with final additions by the author

http://billsropesupply.com/Which%20Way%20Western%20Man%20%281978%29%20-%20William%20Gayley%20Simpson.pdf

Chapter 6 Handbook For Explorers

The simplistic advice to just get quiet enough to hear your inner voice can be so basic as to frustrate the lesser man. Of course one need not wonder if this is what the author intended all along, because he in fact states it himself. Perhaps you yourself ARE meant to be the acting force of another man's will. What more could you do if you can not act upon your own will, or even hear your own will to act upon.

Despite his recommendation of not adhering to any protocol, he does offer 3 tests through which you can know that you have NOT gotten quiet enough to hear that inner voice. For the aspiring ubermensch, this should be enough. This and time to test, and finally KNOW if you have contacted this voice or not.

Simpson mentions specifically his book Towards The Rising Sun chapter 2 The Way To One's Spring to find more on this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Keb8qZssEYA

This chapter yet more practical tools to see if your genuine self, or other 'little' selves are doing the talking within you. Yet as he demonstrates distaste for routines, and practices, I can not help but consider my own experience with this up until and including the most present guidance I have received. Like he explains, once you HAVE heard it, and know your way to it, you need not practice to hear it further. I feel an original video coming on, inspired by the exact words Simpson lays out, and my foundational intent for creating this channel. To offer practical ways listeners of YOUR KIND (with eyes to see and ears to hear) can benefit, and make their aim true!

Enjoy.

Which Way Western Man? by William Gayley Simpson

Chapter 4

Enter Nietzsche. Simpson goes on to explain right living and right thinking, covering slavery and its natural purpose (which finally put into words what I have felt personally for a very long time). This chapter, although many before it in Simpsons other books have done the same, brought emotions fourth that required me to stop recording. The chord struck in me resonated so deeply that I had to pause and cry.
These concepts are hard enough for the cattle to even attempt to understand, but from the perspective of a woman who feels these things as intimately as a man does, it is difficult to explain to any who don't already know Simpson. The emotions are mostly for the feeling of loss which we have been faced with. Loss of a life (the ideal for us all, I'm sure) that is best lived with someone who HAS these convictions already, and can provide the feminine with the driving force through which she is wired to support. THIS is what I have felt, much like many of you feel. Yet without an outlet to create these environments for our eventual Superman, what else have we left to feel but stymied, and at worst hopeless.

Yet he delivers hope indeed, when Simpson quotes Nietzsche as being the Yay sayer. Listen to the longest chapter I've uploaded so far, and recorded so quickly due to the ideas leading me on. It was as if the authors were speaking through me, since I made few errors, and the words flowed from sentence to sentence unencumbered.

Enjoy.

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 – 1900) was a German philosopher, cultural critic and philologist whose work has exerted a profound influence on modern intellectual history. He began his career as a classical philologist before turning to philosophy. He became the youngest person ever to hold the Chair of Classical Philology at the University of Basel in 1869 at the age of 24. Nietzsche resigned in 1879 due to health problems that plagued him most of his life; he completed much of his core writing in the following decade. In 1889, at age 45, he suffered a collapse and afterward a complete loss of his mental faculties. He lived his remaining years in the care of his mother until her death in 1897 and then with his sister Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche. Nietzsche died in 1900.
Because of Nietzsche's evocative style and provocative ideas, his philosophy generates passionate reactions. His works remain controversial, due to varying interpretations and misinterpretations. In Western philosophy, Nietzsche's writings have been described as a case of free revolutionary thought, that is, revolutionary in its structure and problems, although not tied to any revolutionary project. His writings have also been described as a revolutionary project in which his philosophy serves as the foundation of a European cultural rebirth.

My Journey Through Depression And Anxiety. With The Help Of Carl Jung.

This is somewhat of a personal video for me.. please let me know if makes any sort sense.. Thanks

Carl Jung believed in the importance of delving into the unconscious mind to understand some of the intricacies of mental illness. According to Jungians, the source of the anxiety has purposeful meaning behind it. Perhaps a person needs to reconsider behaviors, relationships, a job, or even a living situation. Having anxiety provides an opportunity for assessment—is my life working for me the way it is?

Master–slave morality is a central theme of Friedrich Nietzsche's works, particularly in the first essay of his book, On the Genealogy of Morality. Nietzsche argued that there were two fundamental types of morality: "master morality" and "slave morality". Master morality values pride and power, while slave morality values things like kindness, empathy, and sympathy. Master morality weighs actions on good or bad consequences (i. e., classical virtues and vices, consequentialism), unlike slave morality, which weighs actions on a scale of good or evil intentions (e. g., Christian virtues and vices, Kantian deontology).

For Nietzsche, a particular morality is inseparable from the formation of a particular culture, meaning that a culture's language, codes and practices, narratives, and institutions are informed by the struggle between these two moral structures

Excerpt from Nietzsche's "Daybreak: Thoughts on the Prejudices of Morality" (1881). The groundbreaking book is a critique on the loss of conventional morality in the West as a function of the decline of Christianity. In the work's culmination brought here, Nietzsche asserts that ever since the subversion attempt of the original nation-specific religion of Judaism, into the form of universal Christianity, it's become evident that the very key to humanity's redemption is ultimately in the hands of the representatives of Godhood and Morality itself who are the Jewish people.

Nietzsche is the Jews' most translated, studied and read modern non-Jewish thinker, as his philosophy has deeply influenced Zionism and the Zionist movement. See: wikipedia.org/wiki/Nietzschean_Zionism

The ancient Greek philosopher Plato described human society as being divided into three social classes which he referred to as the bronze, silver and gold or the workers, soldiers and philosophers. All ancient civilisations recognised some version of this stratification. Ancient societies were never egalitarian and nor did they strive to be.

2mørVs & Jordan Peterson - Up & Down
___________________________________________________

"A system like Christianity, or any system that's oriented a society for thousands and thousands of years can't simply be eradicated by a casual gesture without consequences ensuing in it's aftermath. What consequences? Nietzsche says: Well, we don't no longer know up and down. What does he mean by that, metaphorically? Well, 'up', that's where you're headed, right? And 'down', that's what you wanna stay away from. And when you eradicate the most fundamental presuppositions of your system of values then there is no up and there is no down; and then, where are you, precisely?"

2mørVs, Jordan Peterson & Friedrich Nietzsche - The Murderers Of All Murderers
___________________________________________________

"Whither is God?, he cried, I shall tell you! We have killed Him, you and I. All of us are His murderers. But how have we done this? How were we able to drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What did we do when we unchained this earth from it's sun? Whither is it moving now? Whither are we moving now? Away from all suns? Are we not plunging continuously? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there any up or down left?
How shall we, the murderers of all murderers, comfort ourselves? What was holiest and most powerful of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods, simply to seem worthy of it?"

Marx y Nietzsche: encuentros y desencuentros.

In this video, I discuss Nietzsche’s thoughts on the herd and the higher man; and I also focus on the notion of ‘resentment,’ which is vital in understanding the development of herd morality.
