An exceptionally adept Florida lawyer is offered a job at a high-end New York City law firm with a high-end boss - the biggest opportunity of his career to date.
The REAL LIFE case between Kyle Kashuv and David Hogg was recently brought to my attention and this scene from Scent of A Woman came to mind right away.
It would seem that despite a MUCH HIGHER THAN AVERAGE score, Kyle was denied entry into Harvard because of some things he said when he was 16. The EXTREMELY important context of those things he said many years ago seem to not be enough to allow Kyle forgiveness. Nor, it seems, was his VERY heart felt, credible apology and promise to do better and be a better person moving forward. One would think that allowing for the relative context and his strong sense of regret would have made the difference but, it didn't.
David on the other, with his victim cred in toe and a VERY LOW almost non acceptable score was indeed accepted. Why? It would seem that POLITICS is the sad answer.
At the end of the day, we MUST be wary of promoting a system that trains people that no matter how much they feel bad and apologies about mistakes they have made in the past --- nothing they can do or say will allow them to EVER BE FORGIVEN ---
This type of lack of empathy and understanding (the very thing the leftards claim they want from others) positions them into a no win situation. A position where by they have zero choice but to double down and accept the path they are forced onto.
This kind of idiocy can ONLY turn out to be A HUGE NEGATIVE for ALL OF SOCIETY moving into the future
