Patreon had banned Lauren Southern, Sargon of Akkad, and many others. Destroying people's livelihoods because they didn't like something they SAID, that's reprehensible. As of later cases (including Sargon's) they didn't even break terms of service... that might not even be legal...
These Tech-monopolies are bad, so when Subscribe Star is back up and running, and Gab implements its pledge system, they'll be viable Patreon alternatives. Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin are also talking about making a Patreon alternative, competition is good!

PewDiePie must win. YouTuberLaw said PayPal could be open to anti-trust violations. Patreon admits their rules are completely subjective and they have no interest in free speech, the free market or actual fairness. A congressman from Texas proposes making social media liable for content if they curate their feeds.
