Fritz Lang Meets Pink Floyd
The opening scene in Fritz Lang's classic silent film "Metropolis" is subtitled with Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine" lyrics and excerpted music. Metropolis takes place in the year 2026. We are already seeing this brutal form of totalitarianism in many European Union countries. Mandatory lock downs and vaccinations in Australia and in Canada. Washington State now has ordered mandatory vaccinations. This evil fascistic takeover is slowly creeping up on us. New York, Chicago, San Francisco are turning into hellholes. Better wake up and see the faux vaccine for what it really is and put an end to it soon. Don't be a zombie in the apocalypse!

Pink Floyd – The Wall is a 1982 British musical psychological drama film directed by Alan Parker, based on the 1979 Pink Floyd album The Wall. The screenplay was written by Pink Floyd vocalist and bassist Roger Waters. Boomtown Rats vocalist Bob Geldof plays rock star Pink, who, driven into insanity by the death of his father, constructs a physical and emotional wall to protect himself.

Like the album, the film is highly metaphorical, and symbolic imagery and sound are present most commonly. The film is mostly driven by music and features little dialogue from the characters. Despite its turbulent production and the creators voicing their discontent about the final product, the film received generally positive reviews and has an established cult following.

Now like the education system dumbing children down, the education system teaching children not how to think but to think in a certain way, and such like. Pink Floyd's 'Another brick in the wall' was ahead of its time.
Mark Zuckerberg is a “little prick” who became “one of the most powerful idiots in the world,” Pink Floyd founding band member Roger Waters said in rejecting Facebook’s attempt to buy a Pink Floyd song for an Instagram ad.
Waters said Facebook had offered “a huge, huge amount of money” to use Pink Floyd’s 1979 classic “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2” in an Instagram ad, but Waters wasn’t having it. (Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012.)

“And the answer is, ‘F–k you. No f—-n’ way,’ ” Waters said. “I only mention that, because this is an insidious movement of them to take over absolutely everything … I will not be a party to this bullshit, Zuckerberg.”

Waters said that Zuckerberg’s goals openly conflict with the message of the song.

During an appearance at an event supporting WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, Waters said he received the request for the song via a letter allegedly from the Facebook CEO and founder.

“We feel that the core sentiment of this song is still so prevalent and so necessary today, which speaks to how timeless the work is,” the musician read from the letter in front of some press members.

“And yet they want to use it to make Facebook and Instagram more powerful than it already is so that it can continue to censor all of us in this room and prevent this story about Julian Assange getting out into the general public so the general public can go, ‘What? No. No More,’ ” he said.

Waters also got in a shot at FaceMash, the hot-or-not-style-rating site Zuckerberg started at Harvard that eventually evolved into Facebook.

“How did this little prick who started off by saying, ‘She’s pretty, we’ll give her a 4 out of 5, she’s ugly, we’ll give her a 1,’ how the … did he get any power?” the musician said. “And yet here he is, one of the most powerful idiots in the world.”

I have recently been learning David Gilmour's guitar solo in Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. It is, of course, one of the most memorable and beautiful solos in rock history! I might put the tabs up on the Moonrunner Music channel if anybody is interested and will learn the solo section in the latter half of the song also. Rock on amigos and amigas! :)

The Nuremberg code (1949) applies to all experiments on humans, thus including the roll-out of 5G with new, higher RF-EMF exposure. All such experiments: ”should be based on previous knowledge (e.g., an expectation derived from animal experiments) that justifies the experiment. No experiment should be conducted, where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.” (Nuremberg code pts 3-5). Already published scientific studies show that there is ”a priori reason to believe” in real health hazards

All Music by Eric William Scherrer (Cosmic Warrior) 2003

My original idea for this song occurred to me one day back in 2001. Whilst visiting a friend’s music store, I picked up a “Nature Sounds” CD, which was a compilation of water, waves and sea animal sounds. This CD was purely sound effects, no music. My notion was to compose some simple melodies to put in the background of the ocean sounds and make a lengthy “Relaxation/Going to Sleep” song. Well, after almost two decades later, and three different versions, the song ended up being the opposite of my original vision. It ultimately became a serious piece of music with the sound effects put in the background. It ended up being an artistic, musical endeavor that I did not even know I was capable of, since my whole musical life and compositions prior, were just from using my ears, with no formal training. I did not even take music classes in school as a kid, because I was too busy at home playing my drums to classic rock records. Composing off of an improvised foundation and morphing it into a song that is rich in layered melodies and harmonies, with elements of Classical/Symphonic styles, seemed out of my reach, but being the tenacious Soul that I am, I confronted it and it all somehow came together. It took a long time and I intuitively learned a lot, but the way all of my musical ideas and arrangements started fitting together like a puzzle, was pure magic. The melodies, harmonies, and the general compositional part of it, come naturally for me. It’s the logistics of “getting it on tape” part that is a pain for me, the programs and especially the computer screens. Then, in this particular song, the nature sound effects part of it was a whole other compositional challenge. I do tend to use all kinds of sound effects in my music, since my work is mostly instrumental songs. I have libraries of sound effects with literally thousands to choose from. It took months of looking for nature sounds and also months of looking for synth sounds that had that aquatic quality and finding instruments that blend together nicely. The pre-production work alone was massive and time consuming. Then, the arranging of all of these random sound snippets, to make them sound as if they are all in the same place at the same time, was not easy. For instance, in the intro I put in a barge horn. I tuned it to the song and added a bit of reverb and hid it behind the waves so it sounds off in the distance and natural. Then there was the challenge of the orchestration and the mixing of all the sounds in with the music just right. I still did not get some of the animals mixed in the way I wanted, but I had to finish this project someday! Also, the musical harmonies and layers I could add were endless. Sometimes I would spend all day or even several days on an idea, just to realize that I didn’t like it and then sometimes ideas would come out of nowhere and I would instantly know that it worked. Yea…I had to quit this song sometime!!
Compositional wise, with this new improvised version of the song, I was looking for a celestial, dreamy, free-floating piece. To achieve this organic sound, I chose not to use a metronome, which made it a challenge to overdub melodies and harmonies, because anyone who knows about recording real music (not stringing premade sequences together) from the ground up, knows that overdubbing on material that was not recorded with a click is very tedious, but the end result was more natural and unpredictable, perfect in its chaotic movements, like the Ocean and her waves. Another note about this version is that although it is very different sounding from my 2003 version, there are still some parts that remained basically the same. The intro is the same although I added sounds, melodies and even re-recorded some instruments like the intro trumpet. What remains the same in all of the versions of this song is the Bass Organ, which was the first groundwork for the song I recorded back in 2003. It’s weird because that evening I recorded the first tracks, I remember just rehearsing a few ideas for a few minutes, with the first bass organ track and then I just delved into an improvisational trance. Listening to it later was strange because I don’t even remember playing the whole piece; I just remember preparing to record it. I put in some odd notes here and there that ended up being the “suspenseful” parts in the songs. It’s like I unconsciously put down a baseboard to a puzzle that I would, almost two decades later, fit all the pieces together inside the baseboard.
Don’t let the use of sound effects fool you, No prefab sequences, autochord, autotune , etc. was used in the making of this song. This is a genuine, handmade old-school composition. I don’t even know how to use that automated stuff. I barely know enough about the programs, effects, and stuff, to get songs on tape, or should I say plastic? This song took many years to get it all together, w

Another video created from the (now defunct) online community and app BandHub.

It's me on lead (and helping with backing) vocals, as well as the megaphone voice.

Also I created the tribute animations of the marching hammers. They're close to the original in their timing, as I did use them as a template. But of course, comparing it to the original Gerald Scarfe animation is easy to see how inferior mine is in comparison. Hey, it was one of my very few forays into the world of animation, other than simply making the individual panels in the BH collab dance around the screen.

I owe a heck of a lot to CopyCat for my backing vocals tracks, as I basically had to totally mimic what he'd done, in order to get as close to the big choir sound as we could without overburdening the collab file.

I hope y'all like it :)

"Another Brick in the Wall" is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera The Wall, written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against rigid and abusive schooling, features a children's choir. At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco.

"Part 2" was released as a single, Pink Floyd's first in the UK since "Point Me at the Sky" (1968). It became their only number-one single in the UK, the United States, West Germany and many other countries, and sold over four million copies worldwide. It was nominated for a Grammy Award, and was number 384 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".

The three parts of "Another Brick in the Wall" appear on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera album The Wall. During "Part 1", the protagonist, Pink, begins building a metaphorical wall around himself following the death of his father. In "Part 2", traumas including his overprotective mother and abusive schoolteachers become metaphorical bricks in the wall. Following a violent breakdown in "Part 3", Pink dismisses everyone he knows as "just bricks in the wall".

Bassist Roger Waters wrote "Part 2" as a protest against rigid schooling, particularly boarding schools. "Another Brick in the Wall" appears in the film based on the album. In the "Part 2" sequence, children enter a school and march in unison through a meat grinder, becoming "putty-faced" clones, before rioting and burning down the school.

"Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" was released as a single, Pink Floyd's first in the UK since "Point Me at the Sky" (1968). It was and still is Pink Floyd's only number-one hit in the United Kingdom, the United States, West Germany and several other countries.[citation needed] It was also the final Christmas number one of the decade in the UK. In the US, it reached number 57 on the disco chart. The single sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

The song won Waters the 1983 British Academy Award for Best Original Song for its appearance in the Wall film. "Part 2" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Rock Duo or Group. It appears at number 384 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".

In exchange for performing vocals, the children of Islington School received tickets to a Pink Floyd concert, an album, and a single. Though the school received a payment of £1,000, there was no contractual arrangement for royalties. Following a change to UK copyright law in 1996, they became eligible for royalties from broadcasts. After royalties agent Peter Rowan traced the choir members through the website Friends Reunited and other means, they successfully lodged a claim for royalties with the Performing Artists' Media Rights Association in 2004.

Pink Floyd were an English rock band formed in London in 1965. Gaining an early following as one of the first British psychedelic groups, they were distinguished for their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows, and became a leading band of the progressive rock genre.
