I use the silencedetect filter to grab the timestamps of silence from a video. I then use the python library moviepy to use those timestamps to create a new video with the silence removed!

Hi Guys

I'm not gone from you tube, and today I am bringing the 6th video on my Python MVC Database project with Ktinker.

Today, I will go over some changes I have made in the past two weeks, such as removing the address variables and adding in variables that store income, taxes, revenue, and expenses from the users in the database. More importantly, I have added a graph into the GUI from MathPlotLib that depicts data from our database in a visual format. In addition, I have been testing changing the dimensions of the GUI in real time, and thus when the graph needs to be shown, the GUI will change in size every time the graph is shown.

Thanks to being able to see the database information, in my future videos, I will add in a feature that will calculate profit and loss from the data available in the database. In addition, I will reorganize the entire code structure for the project so that the main script does not have to deal with the database and will instead do calculations and modifications to the data available in the database instead. This will transform the data format to true MVC, or at least as close to MVC it can be for a non-web related project.

After that, I will move to a different code project, though for my YouTube content, I will be going more into real time news related to software and Linux as the future for this channel, that and PC build videos which are coming up later. I will post a channel update sometime this month covering this!

Hello Guys

In this video, I will showcase the Graphical improvements that I have implemented into the Database GUI since last time. Functions wise I have made little upgrades to the project, other then now the Query function returns a list of rows in the database table instead of a string line like before.

On the GUI end, there have been massive changes from the prior video, among them is a new listbox widget which stores the query output of the table instead of just listing the output on the window's background. Also some visual changes and color changes have been made to the GUI to make it more visually appealing.

This Python script, img2vdu.py, is designed to help convert modern image formats -- such as PNG, JPEG, GIF, etc., into a scriptable format for BBC Micro computers, or BBC BASIC in general.

It is only intended for small sprites such as those that are 72 pixels in width or less; however, you can convert larger graphics if the image is split into 72x72 pieces and then individually processed by img2vdu.py. When asked about column and row placement, this is where you put it back together but in BBC BASIC form. You can use the imgsplit.py script to help you split the image.

I have also included JavE (http://www.jave.de/) for use with MODE 7, to which uses the img2ascii.py script.

For more information, please see the README and if you know how to improve upon the scripts (take a look at the TODO), I'd appreciate any help.

If you ever need to run an HTML file online or offline then this video is for you.

I was trying to run my html5 Godot Game export when I got an error saying, "Failed loading file 'tmp_export.wasm'". I get this error because many browsers, Chromium-based browsers specifically (I'm using Brave), will not load exported projects when opened locally per "file://" protocol. To get around this, I'm using a local server.

<-----Commands----->
Terminal:
cd your/folder
for python --> python -m SimpleHTTPServer
for python2 --> python2 -m SimpleHTTPServer
for python3 --> python3 -m http.server

By default, the server will start on port 8000. you can easily change this by adding your port of choice (8080, 5045, etc...) to any of the commands above

In the browser type:
localhost:8000
You will be given a list of files in the folder unless there is one named "index.html" in which case the website will load automatically.

This is a video of me using a Python script I came up with to convert modern image formats into DATA arrays for easily adding small sprites, graphics or title screens for QuickBasic or FreeBASIC projects. However, if using large WxH sizes, then you will want to use FreeBASIC instead as QuickBasic will throw an error on DATA arrays larger than 160x100 and QB also has a much lower memory limit. Besides, FreeBASIC includes a mouse out-of-the-box, making it a possibility to easily create point-and-click stories; it's just a thought...

In this video, only to prove a point, I use MakeHuman to quickly create a 3D model of a person, Blender to render the model, GIMP to get rid of the background, and then img2qb to create the BASIC scripts to compile using the DOS version of FreeBASIC on DOSBox.

In the video I only made a 16-color and a 256-color version of the image; however, img2qb will also do black and white and CGA colors. The preview images it also produces are for use with modern game engines that need an accurate color palette. And yes, I went through each and every color number in QB and got the RGB values to create the palettes.

You can find the project here: https://theouterlinux.gitlab.io/Projects/Linux/img2qb/img2qb.html

This is a video of a project I undertook in action. The project goal was to implement two degree of freedom articulation of a camera to track an object in motion using computer vision techniques. This video shows the resultant mechanism in action. The camera is articulating to track a pink Post-It suspended and swinging freely behind the camera filming the mechanism.

The computer vision is accomplished via Python 3 and the OpenCV library running on a PC powered by XUbuntu 19.04 with a Logitech C920 HD webcam attached. When the desired object is detected and deviates past a certain buffer area beyond the center of the frame, instructions are sent to an Arduino microcontroller, via serial communication, which, in turn, controls two Nema 17 stepper motors via two L298N dual H-bridge motor controllers.

CORRECTION: At 8:08 and 11:50 3x5x7 is NOT 210. It is 105 of which 210 is a multiple so the code is still correct.

In this video we will cover the classic coding interview question Fizzbuzz, which was designed to weed out those that can't their way out of a paper bag. Don't be that guy!
Then later we will take the difficulty up a notch by adding extra conditions which will force us to write better code.

💻 FizzBuzz :

For x from 1 to N:

If:
x multiple of 3 "Fizz"
x multiple of 5 "Buzz"
x multiple of 3 & 5 "FizzBuzz"

Else: x

Output:
1, 2, Fizz, 4, Buzz, ..., 14, FizzBuzz

[Code]

def fizzbuzz(n):
for x in range(1,n+1):
if (x % 15 == 0):
print ("fizzbuzz")
elif (x % 3 == 0):
print ("fizz")
elif (x % 5 == 0):
print ("buzz")
else:
print (x)

💻 FizzBuzzTuna :

For x from 1 to N:

If:
x multiple of 3 "Fizz"
x multiple of 5 "Buzz"
x multiple of 7 "Tuna"
x multiple of 3 & 5 "FizzBuzz"
x multiple of 3 & 7 "FizzTuna"
x multiple of 5 & 7 "BuzzTuna"
x multiple of 3, 5 & 7 "FizzBuzzTuna"

Else: x

Output:
1, 2, Fizz, 4, Buzz, ..., 14, FizzBuzz

[Code]

def fizzbuzztuna(n):
for x in range(1,n+1):
string = ""
if (x % 3 == 0):
string += "fizz"
if (x % 5 == 0):
string += "buzz"
if (x % 7 == 0):
string += "tuna"
if (string == ""):
string = x
print (string)

Find a subarray of continuous numbers such that this array adds up to a sum 'n'
Otherwise return an empty array

Factorial = A mathematical operation defined as follows:

A factorial of n (denoted by n!) is the product of all positive integers less than or equal to n.

n! = n x (n-1) x (n-2) x (n-3) x ... x 3 x 2 x 1

For example: 5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120

Special Case: 0! = 1

Approach:

1) Iterative Strategy: Create a loop that will find the product of n * n-1 * n-2 * ... * 2 * 1

2) Recursive Strategy: Multiply n by the factorial of (n-1) until it reaches n = 0

Some totally crazy funny scenes from anime that go to show just how wild anime can be!!

As a note, I have held for some time that with political correctness, a controlled media and hate speech laws old style silly British humour is being crushed and it falls to the Japanese (of all people) to keep the 'Python/Goodies' spirit alive. And they do it really well!
