Today, we are looking back at The Old School Seasons of Survivor. Those are the seasons ranging from Borneo (Season 1) up through Guatemala (Season 11). I know that I’ve already looked at all of these seasons individually. However, I have yet to take a look at them as a whole. A lot of Hardcore Survivor Fans like to define eras in the Show’s History and in my opinion, Borneo up through Guatemala was the Old School Era. It was the era before the advantages really came into the game. How do these seasons stand up to the more modern seasons as a collective rather than as individual pieces to a larger puzzle? Today, we are looking at Survivor’s 11th Season, Survivor: Guatemala. This season has been one of the most forgotten seasons in the Show’s History. I know that the winner from this season came back for Survivor: Winners At War. I argue that had Winners At War not happened at Season 40, then Danni Boatwright never gets brought back. What we’re going to be looking at is does this season deserve to be forgotten? Or does it deserve to be in the spotlight, but Production has done everything to prevent that? If that’s the case, then why? Was it the Cast? Was it the Twists? Did something really bad happen this season that they don't want anybody remembering?

Today, we are taking a look at Survivor: Palau. This season is often regarded as one of the best Old School Seasons by not just Old School Fans of the show, but even Newer Fans. This season came out at a time when the most amount of people were watching Survivor (20-30 Million Viewers an Episode). Then after this season, the momentum shifted where the ratings were on the decline. Does this season deserve to be considered one of the best Old School Seasons? Today, we are taking a look at Survivor’s First Returning Player Season, Survivor: All Stars. For this season, I’m going to handle things differently. An All Stars Season is usually a Time Capsule. Therefore, this cannot be judged by Modern Eyes. I have to put myself back in 2003/2004 and judge whether or not it was a good season then from a Casting Point of View. Remember, GamePlay never ages. Today, we are looking at Survivor’s 4th Season, Survivor: Marquesas. This season over the years has fallen into the “Forgotten Season” Category when it comes to this show. After 40 Seasons, at this point, the season has to have some big moments to stand out. The question on the table is is did Survivor: Marquesas do enough to stand out and if it did, does it deserve to be a forgotten season? Is it worth visiting even if you’ve only watched Survivor since Season 30?

In the 20th Anniversary Special, Survivor at 40, this season is omitted from Survivor’s History even though this season is constantly ranked in the Top 10 of Best Survivor Seasons. Today, we are looking at the Fifth Season of Survivor, Survivor: Thailand. This is another season that really doesn’t get praised. In fact, it’s the opposite most of the time. Does this season deserve to be looked at in a negative light? Another thing to look at is why does this season get looked at in a Negative Light? Is it the cast? Is it the twists? Clementine Ford has written another hit-piece for Fairfax, this one appears in The Age Newspaper and will likely also appear in the Sydney Morning Herald.
It discusses Dean from Married at First Sight and his desire for a feminine wife who respects, loves and honours him.
Apparently wanting these things is a sign of being the worst kind of person, at least according to Clementine Ford.
The article made me laugh at is great material for this response video.
