Many people erroneously believe that Constantine founded the Roman Catholic Church in 325 A.D., but it was really an unholy union of the empire and the churches within it, and as Rome crumbled, the bishop's political and military influence also diminished.
That all changed in the 8th century when Charlemagne needed a religion to unite the different nationalities of his kingdom and the unholy union was once again revived because he needed a religion to unite the different nationalities of his kingdom. He courted the papacy and the Church of Rome became the official state religion of the Franks and the kingdom was subsequently renamed The Holy Roman Empire.
History has shown that no political system can exist apart from a religious system, and what the Devil did back then is also going to be repeated in the future, but on a much larger scale, because today's technology is so advanced that mankind can be monitored and controlled at all times. Satan counterfeits everything that God has done and one day the Roman Catholic Church will be the platform that he will use to convince the world that the Antichrist is really the long awaited messiah. In the vicinity of a cathedral in central England, archaeologists have discovered what they presume to be a Roman shrine that was hidden beneath a former graveyard.
On Tuesday, researchers from the University of Leicester reported discovering what they believe to be the basement of a Roman edifice and a fragment of an 1,800-year-old altar stone while conducting excavations on the premises of Leicester Cathedral, the Associated Press reported.
“There’s always been this folk tale that there was a Roman temple underneath the cathedral,” said Mathew Morris, excavation director for the University of Leicester’s Archaeological Services, as reported by the AP.

On Monday, authorities in charge of antiquities reported that archaeologists have found a statue resembling a Sphinx and the remnants of a shrine in a temple located in the south of Egypt.
According to a statement by the Antiquities Ministry, the temple of Dendera in Qena Province, located 280 miles (450 kilometers) to the south of Cairo, was where the artifacts were discovered, the Associated Press reported.
As per the ministry’s statement, the archaeologists have hypothesized that the statue’s cheerful expression could pertain to the Roman emperor Claudius, who governed North Africa from 41 to 54 A.D. and extended Rome’s dominion in the region.

2,000-Year-Old Ancient Roman Dry Cleaner Unearthed by Archaeologists at Pompeii
A 2,000-year-old ancient Roman dry cleaner was unearthed by archaeologists at the Pompeii Archaeological Park in Italy, the Miami Herald reports.
Archaeologists have been excavating a previously unexplored section of the site at Insula 10 in Regio IX along the via di Nola. The land is sizable—“about the size of a city block,” per the Miami Herald—and was used for farming until it became part of the archaeological park in 2015.
The team uncovered the ridges and upper floors of several buildings, including a house that was converted into a fullonica, or a laundry shop, according to a release from the archaeological park on Monday. In these shops, launderers would have been paid to wash people’s clothes.
Ancient Romans used human and animal urine to wash their clothes. The urine would have been collected in pots along the city streets. The ammonia in the urine would counteract dirt and grease stains. The clothes would be washed in vats of water and urine, and subsequently stomped on by the workers. The garments would then be rinsed and hung to dry.

Roman-era sarcophagus uncovered in Gaza
A Roman-era sarcophagus, likely to have belonged to a prominent individual, was uncovered at the site of a 2,000-year-old Roman cemetery discovered last year in the northern Gaza Strip, the territory's antiquities ministry said on Tuesday.
So far 90 individual and mass graves have been found at the site, which is being supervised by a French team of experts and which was uncovered last year by construction workers on an Egyptian-funded housing project.
The ministry said in a statement it believed the sarcophagus, made from lead, belonged to a high-profile figure from the era, but added it had not yet been opened. It had been put in a protective wooden container and would be subject to further study by Palestinian and international expert teams.
Ministry spokesman Tareq Al-Af said opening the sarcophagus would await the arrival of an international metal expert. He said some clay jars and other belongings found in the cemetery pointed to the Roman era, around 2,000 years ago.

During survey works for an offshore wind farm, archaeologists stumbled upon an ‘incredibly rare’ anchor that’s thought to date back to Roman times.
The 2,000-year-old iron anchor was discovered at the bottom of the southern North Sea near Suffolk, while workers were doing survey works for Scottish Power.
Experts believe that the 100 kg anchor is from the Roman or late Iron Age, and could provide evidence of ancient Romans travelling and trading in the southern North Sea.
The two-metre long anchor is estimated to have come from a 500-600 tonnes vessel, and is believed to be between 1,600 to 2,000 years old.
‘Everything points to this being a Roman anchor of almost 2,000 years old, which is an incredibly rare piece of history,’ said Brandon Mason from Maritime Archaeology Ltd.
‘If this date is confirmed, it would be hard to overstate its significance – we only know about three pre-Viking anchors from northern European waters outside the Mediterranean region and only two actually survived,’
The anchor was first discovered in 2018, but was safety recovered from the water last year after being monitored due to concerns over its long-term preservation.
It is currently undergoing detailed imaging and analysis to better pinpoint its age. Once that’s done, the anchor will go on permanent display in conjunction with Colchester and Ipswich Museums.

Tesla Inc Chief Executive Elon Musk has signaled competition concerns over Nvidia Corp's planned purchase of British chip designer Arm, the Telegraph reported on Saturday, citing multiple sources.
