De meeste mensen zijn ervan overtuigd dat ze virussen hebben gezien middels elektronenmicrografie. Dr. Sam Bailey legt in deze video uit waarom deze foto’s geen bewijs zijn van het bestaan van virussen zoals beweerd wordt.
“Virussen zijn kleine obligate intracellulaire parasieten, die bij definitie RNA of DNA bevatten en een beschermende, virus-gecodeerde proteinemantel hebben.” (Medical Microbiology, 1996).
De definitie van een virus is cruciaal en het is verbazingwekkend dat dit zo vaak over het hoofd gezien wordt. Je kunt niet beweren dat je bewijs hebt van het bestaan van een virus door het observeren van een zieke persoon waarbij je opmerkt dat meerdere personen, ogenschijnlijk in een kluster, dezelfde symptomen ervaren, of door het uitvoeren van genetische amplificatietechnieken zoals de PCR.
In de hiervoor genoemde quote lees je “intracellulaire parasieten”. Dit houdt in dat het om een deeltje moet gaan dat zich als een parasiet gedraagt, een deeltje dat een gastheer (zoals een mens) kaapt en zijn cellen gebruikt ter replicatie. Met de nieuwe virusdeeltjes kan het potentieel een andere host infecteren. Als het parasieten zijn dan zijn de deeltjes besmettelijk en veroorzaken ze ziekte in de gastheer.
Ik (Sam Baley) geloofde dit tijdens mijn medische opleiding ook, omdat ik dacht dat er gedegen experimenten uitgevoerd werden die de virustheorie bevestigden.
Het was pas later dat ik de literatuur nader ging bekijken en de hiaten in het bewijsmateriaal ontdekte. Het werd me duidelijk dat wat werd gepresenteerd als ‘bewijs’ simpelweg verkeerd geinterpreteerde informatie was teneinde aan de virustheorie tegemoet te komen.
Statisch beeldmateriaal kan makkelijk verkeerd geinterpreteerd worden; men trekt een conclusie die niet overeenkomt met de natuur en de werkelijkheid. Dit is dan ook het probleem met elektronenmicrografie; de afbeeldingen die zg. virussen weergeven moeten nader worden onderzocht.
Gedurende mijn opleiding zocht ik bijvoorbeeld meer informatie over de mazelen, en ergens in een boek vond ik dan een plaatje waarbij beweerd werd dat het het mazelenvirus zou betreffen. Maar wat was precies gedaan om te bewijzen dat deze snapshot van bepaalde deeltjes echt het virus betrof dat de mazelen veroorzaakt? Was dit deeltje echt de aangewezen ‘crimineel’ omdat iemand er met een zwarte pijl naar wees? Je beschuldigt toch ook niet iemand die de toevallig langs een bankfiliaal loopt van het overvallen van de bank?
Om een andere analogie te gebruiken: als iemand ons foto’s zou laten zien van huisbranden en brandweerpersoneel, denken we toch ook niet dat de aanwezige brandweermannen de branden veroorzaakt hebben? Of.. dat de branden de oorzaak waren van de aanwezigheid van brandweermannen?
De meeste brandweermannen zien er ongeveer hetzelfde uit, maar ze zouden verschillend tenue kunnen dragen, behorend tot verschillende stammen van brandweermannen (red.: zoals verschillende virusstammen). Sommige foto’s tonen huisbrandepidemieen die complete wijken in vuur en vlam zetten, en alweer zien we overal brandweermannen. Wat is hier aan de hand?
Natuurlijk, dit vinden we een onnozel voorbeeld omdat we weten dat huisbranden niet door brandweermannen worden veroorzaakt. De echte oorzaak vinden we pas door nader onderzoek te doen. En er is vaak filmmateriaal wat aantoont dat de brandweer pas arriveert nadat de brand begonnen is, en we weten dan ze er zijn om de brand te blussen.
Pas met complete informatie over een situatie kunnen we betekenis toekennen aan statisch beeldmateriaal door het in de juiste context te plaatsen.
Dus als iemand jou een foto laat zien met een zogezegd ziekteverwekkend virus, hoe kun je er dan achter komen dat dit ook daadwerkelijk het geval is?
