Une fête de la musique, sur les bords de la Loire, sur une île, les gens, les jeunes font la fête, dansent ; la musique est forte et apparemment cela dérange. Mais qui cela dérange-t-il vraiment ? Ou ne serait-ce pas plutôt que les représentants de l'ordre veulent faire du zèle, montrer qui commande ?...
Toujours est-il qu'une charge policière disproportionnée et donc très agressive est lancée. Résultat : des blessés, des gens apeurés, de la contestation, des personnes tombent dans l'eau ou y sautent pour échapper au matraquage et au gazage. Résultat : un jeune a disparu. Il se nomme Steve. On le retrouvera plusieurs jours plus tard, mort. Noyé. Un jeune pourtant gentil et calme, dévoué aussi, eh oui, il y en a !
Et en fin de compte les responsabilités ne sont toujours pas établies...
"Où est Steve ?" est donc une chanson en mémoire de ce Steve, et de tous les autres Steve et moins Steve, maltraités indument, blessés injustement ou tués malencontreusement lors de violences policières ou de "bavures" policières. Dites-vous que cela pourrait être votre enfant.

Voici une reprise anglophone et pas n'importe laquelle ! : Hallelujah de Leonard Cohen, que j'interprète en m'accompagnant à la Harpe celtique.
De cette chanson on ne peut plus connue et tellement interprétée, l'air a été pas mal de fois joué à la harpe (classique entre autres) mais en fin de compte assez peu ont interprété la chanson en s'accompagnant eux-même à la harpe, alors profitez-en ! Cadeau !
Cette chanson est donc parue en 1984 sur l'album Various positions et, tiens donc, il se trouve que l'artiste à avoir en premier reconnu la force de cette chanson, c'est Bob Dylan...

MACHAON,,, Ah, voilà une chanson que je chante depuis un certain temps déjà, en m'accompagnant à la harpe celtique, mais c'est la première fois qu'on la trouve sous forme de vidéo.
Cette chanson parle d'amour libre et partagé, et peut-être des limites de l'ouverture d'esprit remise au pas par les sentiments... avec la déception et la peine occasionnée.
Ah les papillons qui vont de fleur en fleur au gré de leurs humeurs et fantasmes, au gré de leurs instincts et des phéromones !.... Mais rassurez-vous, pas de morale généralisatrice. Seulement une façon de se connaître mieux.
Les paroles ont été écrites par Rémy Verneuil et nous avons travaillé ensemble sur comment les présenter musicalement ; j'en ai fait l'arrangement pour la harpe celtique (et vous me verrez sur la vidéo manoeuvrer les petits leviers pour me mettre sur la bonne tonalité : pas de pédales par ici !).
Cette vidéo a été captée lors de mon concert à la Guinguette du MeM à Rennes, lieu des plus agréables pour la détente et pour se retrouver entre amis.
Le groupe Alcachofa se produisait à ma suite. Il s'agit d'un groupe de rock hispano-poetico-progressif avec le quel j'ai commencé à travailler ; alors Juan et Javier de Alcachofa m'accompagnent sur certaines chansons et bientôt avec Hervé le contrebassiste.
