== AN EXCELLENT OUTLINE ==
Brother Kerrigan here provides an excellent basis for rejecting Open theism which is another late philosophical model to reconcile divine providence, free agency (human responsibility, and theodicy (the problem of moral evil). Brother Kerrigan does an excellent job of refuting the false teachings of Calvinism and reform theology.

== Do either of these views comport with scripture? ==
Some thoughts to consider.. Does the philosophical model of Molina, a Jesuit priest represent theological brilliance that we need to understand the scriptures today? Does the Semi-Gnosticism of Augustine/Calvin/Luther and the Reform Theologians and their version of sovereignty and grace -- universal meticulous causal determinism (theistic fatalism for short) .. comport with scripture and the revealed character of YHVH? I answer emphatically, "NO! to BOTH."

Both of these positions make reference to a theological construct called the order of decrees. This framework has zero biblical grounding and is 100% speculative (made up) This should not even be being talked about .. let alone debated or argued about.

Theodicy - The seeming problem of moral evil in a universe created by a God who is light and in Him is no darkness at all or shadow of turning.

== THE ATONEMENT, SALVATION, AND FREE WILL ==
Did we lose our free will at the fall of Adam? OR Did we lose it after we were sealed with the Holy Spirit? ANSWER: Neither.

*********
DISCLAIMER: Brother Leighton Flowers articulates his position as "Provisionism" but due to his yet holding an unscriptural view of the atonement / PSA (Penal Substitutionary Atonement), he still holds to a monergistic or fatalistic view on eternal security. As read here in Article IX of his statement of faith-- "We deny that this Holy Spirit-sealed relationship can ever be broken. We deny even the possibility of apostasy." This is unbiblical. The scriptures affirm that in one sense we save ourselves and work out our own salvation with the aid of the Holy Spirit -- this is synergistic and the scriptures also speak of persons having made themselves worthy of eternal life. This does not mean that it is not the gift of God, since men take hold of GRACE and through the proper exercise of free will in that GRACE abide.

The Biblical Atonement IS in blood
The L-A-W of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus comprised of
L-IBERTY (bought out of captivity and bondage to sin (redeemed/ransom and liberated from slavery to sin/death/the devil) By Christ our kinsman-redeemer,
A-MNESTY (peace, pardon from condemnation, real forgiveness, continued repentance/faith), AND
W-ASHING (cleansed and empowered to walk in newness of life, the Holy Spirit alongside us to keep us AS we keep ourselves in the love of God, freeing us from corruption and conforming us to His likeness daily .. if we endure we shall receive our inheritance, the promise of eternal life with Him.

[Act 2:38-42 ] 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

[Php 2:12 ] 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

[Heb 6:1-8 ] 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. 4 For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.

[1Ti 4:16 ] 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

[1Co 9:24-27 ] 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

[Jn 15:1-6 ] 1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

== FREE WILL OR NECESSITY? ==
The early church or primitive Christianity affirmed human liberty and the freedom of the will. Total inability and the doctrine of necessity came into the church from Gnostic influences championed by Augustine who was disappointed with what he read in scripture. Yes, you read that right.. a minister of the Word who revised it to his liking as do his followers Calvin and Luther just like Marcion ..

== THE SUBVERSION OF TRUTH ==
In this present generation with the postmodern/emergent movement and mystery/spirit of lawlessness at work to soon reveal that man of sin.. That spirit is now clutching at the foundations (Heb. 6:1-3) and attempting to not only tell us that .. we will not die, we will become like God, we will have God's knowledge, etc. but that there is no everlasting punishment where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. Like all sound doctrine in scripture we must read the scriptures in full context and let the plain texts inform the obscure. We must not allow our emotional bias to inform the text but be persuaded by the Holy Spirit of the truth the LORD has revealed.. even if it offends our sensibilities. Let God be true and every man a liar... - Rom. 3:4

DISCLAIMER: Both speakers here hold to the PSA - Penal Substitutionary Atonement theory of Anselm / Calvin which brought some faulty questions and arguments in the cross-examinations portion. We refute this view of the atonement. Penal substitutionary atonement (the dominant and prevailing view of today -- from reform / Anselmian and Calvinistic theology) is not the teaching of scripture. Christ came to deliver us from captivity to sin, death, and the devil by means of His blood atonement. In this, He (the Son of God) and God is at once both the reconciler and the reconciled and deals with the threefold problem entailed in the fall by providing us with Liberty from the Law of Sin/Death/Devil, Amnesty - justly and truly granting pardon or forgiveness from sin/condemnation, and Washing us to Walk in Holiness -grafting us into eternal life if we so abide in Him .. that is freeing us from corruption. This is the classic/dramatic and biblical complete teaching on the atonement. It is not of penalty paid in Christ, but of pardon and forgiveness. Think about it... If Christ paid it, how have we been truly forgiven of anything. The entire notion is self-refuting. Be Bereans and TEST EVERYTHING, hold fast what is true. Grace and peace multiplied to you in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

A Critical Biblical Review:

Chris Date does not read Irenaeus in context. Irenaeus most definitely DID NOT hold his position. Irenaeus speaks of an intermediate state or conscious existence apart from the body (not soul sleep or physicalism) and the everlasting misery of the wicked in eternal fire. (not anihilationism, being deprived of life or extinction). Chris Date plays word games with cessation of existence because for him the rotting corpse remains. The later church fathers (so-called, they did not refer to themselves as such) are admitedly a mixed lot since the pure stream was being polluted especially as the church merged with the world & empire. Irenaeus, however was a disciple of Polycarp who was a disciple of John the Apostle which is closer to the source in terms of their understanding and guarding of the holy scriptures and sound doctrine.

== DENYING THE BIBLICAL HELL ==
Edward Fudge became a champion of this error that denies the eternal judgment of scripture and recriminates it as a product of greek philosophy not unlike Unitarians and Oneness Pentecostal (modalists) adherents who also straw man the biblical teaching concerning the triunity of God. We must always keep 'the plain thing.. the main thing'. We read scripture in context and use the plain texts to interpret the obscure texts. Here is a plain and emphatic reference from Jesus himself (cf. Mt. 25:31-46 full context) specifically vs 46 "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." The word eternal here is identical. Either it means 'continuous and ongoing' in both instances or not. It holds that exact same meaning in both instances else you would be committing the logical fallacy of equivocation.

That is, if the righteous receive life age-enduring (eternal) then likewise the wicked go into punishment age-enduring (eternal).

== PAUL DID NOT TEACH SALVATION BY FAITH ALONE ==
The term saved by "faith alone" is not in the Bible. Do you not know that the LORD Himself fully expects a return on His investment?

I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples. - John 15:1-8

== THE OUTCOME OF THEISTIC FATALISM ==
The error of another "JC" aka John Calvin, the Pope of Geneva originated in manichaean gnostic thought and can even be traced back to platonic notions. Its logical outcome is to make the LORD GOD Himself the AUTHOR OF SIN. The elders of primitive christianity recognized this, contended and refuted this error.

Once saved, always saved or unconditional eternal security is not supported by the scriptures, early church writings, or God given reason itself. Brother Jesse Morrel is a great evangelist and street preacher. He is also a great apologist and has many great refutations of the error of that other "JC" aka John Calvin or Calvin-ism.

== THE SCRIPTURES ON MARRIAGE/DIVORCE/REMARRIAGE ==

What do the scriptures actually affirm on the subject of divorce and remarriage? There are so many diverse opinions on the matter and you will not find any uniformity in the body of Christ on this subject of eternal import; for the scriptures affirm (1 Cor. 6:9-11) “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Brother Daniel Jennings in this short video builds a solid scriptural and historical case for the truth as a light shining in the darkness of controversial theological opinions where everyone is doing what is “right in their own eyes”. I would highly encourage you to get his book on this same subject and keep copies on hand to share with others.
