One of the most revered movies from Hollywood's golden age was Stanley Kubrick's 1960 epic, Spartacus. Staring the late Kirk Douglas, the film is about a Thracian gladiator, who eventually turns on his owners, and goes on to become the leader of a massive slave rebellion in antiquity.

Spartacus is a 1960 American epic historical drama film directed by Stanley Kubrick, written by Dalton Trumbo, and based on the 1951 novel of the same title by Howard Fast. It is inspired by the life story of Spartacus, the leader of a slave revolt in antiquity, and the events of the Third Servile War.

It stars Kirk Douglas in the title role, Laurence Olivier as Roman general and politician Marcus Licinius Crassus, Peter Ustinov, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, as slave trader Lentulus Batiatus, John Gavin as Julius Caesar, Jean Simmons as Varinia, Charles Laughton as Sempronius Gracchus, and Tony Curtis as Antoninus.

The original score for Spartacus was composed and conducted by six-time Academy Award nominee Alex North. It was nominated by the American Film Institute for their list of greatest film scores.

A 2007–2008 BBC Television drama series looking at key moments in the lives and reputations of some of the greatest warriors of history.

An all-action dramatic spectacles based on the lives of six men who shaped the world around them, either by sheer force of will, genius, courage or even greed. Warriors describes powerful, magnetic personalities who have earned their place in the world's imagination, all prepared to die for what they believed in - whether it was God or gold, the pursuit of power and glory or a magnificent ideal.

From Spartacus, the gladiator who brought Rome to its knees, this series combines absorbing drama with CGI to ask what were the motives, the strengths and even the weaknesses that drove these men to achieve what no one else had dared. The amazing stories of Napoleon, Hernan Cortez, Attila the Hun, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Richard the Lionheart are also included. The original title of the series is "Heroes and Villains", while in the U.S the show was aired on The Military Channel and was called "Warriors".

Episode 1: Spartacus, sold as a gladiator, organizes an escape and the Roman army is soon hunting him and his fellow escaped slaves. He and his men attack the Romans and other slaves soon arrive to join them which causes trouble between those who want revenge and Spartacus who wishes to flee to Gaul. After another attack by the Romans, they head for Gaul. Yet, after facing the Romans again and winning, Spartacus's men convince him to attack rather than flee. The Romans, however, push them to the ocean and a final battle ensues.

Episode 2: Attila the Hun

Please note: The numbering of the six episodes that make up the series is debatable due to them being listed differently on different sources (e.g. DVD release vs USA broadcast vs BBC broadcast).
Therefore, I decided to post them based on the chronological time period.

Anthony Flanagan as Spartacus
Nadia Boussetta as Spartacus's Wife
Jamie Foreman as Slave Trader
Mark Wingett as Batiatus

Andrew Tiernan as Crixus
Robert Glenister as Crassus
Rupert Vansittart as Lentulus

The Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh Sexual Assault Hearing was held Sept. 27, 2018 and it was an emotionally riveting spectacle. Christine Blasey Ford gave emotional testimony in the morning, followed by Kavanaugh's fiery afternoon performance. The most spectacular oratory came from Sen. Lindsey Graham who truly took the mantle of "Spartacus" from Sen. Booker.
