Before venturing further, it’s worth noting that our appraisal is not among the most common explanations. Osama bin Laden, his lieutenants at Al-Qaeda, and the men who carried out the attack against the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon are not “crazy,” unhinged psychopaths launching an attack against the United States without what they consider to be good reason.
Nor do we consider then-President George W. Bush to be either a simpleton, a willing conspirator, an oil profiteer, or a Machivellian puppet whose cabinet were all too happy to take advantage of a crisis.
The American press tends to portray its leaders as fools and knaves, and America’s enemies as psychopathic. Because the propaganda machine hammered away so heavily on the simple “cowardly men who hate our freedom” line, there was not much in the way of careful consideration of the actual political motives of the hijackers, the Petro-Islam that funded them, the ancient, antagonistic split between Sunni and Shi’a, the fall-out from the 1979 Iranian revolution or the 1970s energy crisis, the historical context of covert American involvement in the Soviet-Afghan War and the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s, nor the perceived “imperialist humanitarianism” of American military adventures of the 1990s in Muslim nations like Bosnia, Iraq, Somalia and Kosovo. Alone, none of these factors were deadly. Combined, they provided a lethal combination.
It is our considered opinion that the events of 9/11 and those that followed in direct response to the attacks – including the invasion of Iraq – were carried out by good faith rational actors who believed they were acting in the best interests of their religion or their nation. There are no conspiracy theories here; sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
This opinion does not in any way absolve the principals from moral responsibility for the consequences of their actions. It does, however, provide what we believe to be a more accurate and nuanced depiction of events than is generally forthcoming from any sector of the media – because we see these principals as excellent chess players who, in the broad sweep of events, engaged in actions which are explicable.

Refugees -> Terrorist Sleeper Cells
As America is faced with the total collapse of Afghanistan and the U.S. government's malfeasance in responding to it, the question of Afghan refugees coming to America is a real security issue for state and local governments as well as citizens across the nation.
2 questions:
i) How can American citizens trust the government with properly vetting people from any nation when the U.S. government has a track record of abject failure specific to this task?
How do you vet people who cannot be positively identified by true name and date of birth?
ii) The U.S. Government's Track Record in "Vetting".
Abdurahman Alamoudi was an Al Qaeda financier who, in 2004, was sentenced to 21 years in federal prison. Yet, Alamoudi served as the Islamic advisor to President Clinton and as a "Goodwill Ambassador" for the U.S. State Department, worked with the Department of Education, and created the Muslim Chaplain Program for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Alamoudi was an immigrant from Eritrea and was given the green light by the State Department, the Secret Service and the FBI.
The vetting process is broken.
Between 2003 and 2014 Gulmurod Khalimov participated in 5 U.S. State Department sponsored training programs, including weapons and tactics training. Why is this a problem? Khalimov was a senior ISIS commander upon whom the U.S. government put a $3 million bounty.
The State Department defended themselves by explaining, "All appropriate Leahy vetting was undertaken in advance of this training."
Those who served honorably with U.S. troops and/or as a part of the U.S. war effort in Afghanistan who renounce sharia and adopt American principles for their lives should be given an opportunity to come to America.
Direct testimony is needed by those who served with the individual "refugees" because people from Afghanistan are rarely capable of passing a true background check. This is because there is often no way to confirm the individuals true name or simple identifiers like a date of birth.
For security reasons, the question of how the United States will vet people from certain countries must be answered before admitting anyone from those countries.
This is the reason that in 2016 Understanding the Threat recommended Mr. Trump suspend all immigration into the United States for 3-5 years until the U.S. could produce a viable vetting process for immigrants from many of the nations openly hostile to the U.S., limit the points of entry to one per coast, and standardize security, health, and skills screening.
State Level Vetting:
If the federal government demonstrates - as it has - it is incapable of vetting people coming into America, refugees or otherwise, how will states vet them?
Russell Smith, the CEO of Refugee Services of Texas issued a press release on August 16, 2021 stating Texas is prepared to receive hundreds of refugees from Afghanistan.
The press release also states: "All Afghans who have applied for Special Immigrant Visas (SIV's) will undergo security background checks and health screenings."
How will Texas vet these people? UTT reached out to Mr. Smith, but as of the time of publishing this article we have not received any feedback.
If the United States federal government is not capable of creating a vetting process to keep Al Qaeda and ISIS leaders out of America, how well do you think they are doing vetting refugees from Afghanistan?

Progressive candidate Ubax Gardheere is running for the King County Council in the Seattle, Washington area and has been endorsed by some local Democratic officials, including state Senator Rebecca Saldana, who said she "would follow Ubax anywhere."
However, in 2010, Gardheere faced felony charges after she boarded a Highline School District bus making its morning rounds and demanded the driver inform his dispatch "that a national security incident was going on," according to court documents reviewed by Fox News.
After demanding the driver send her message to dispatch, Gardheere – who is today the director of the Equitable Development Division in Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development – proceeded to verbally attack the Chinook Middle School students onboard the bus over America’s relationship with Somalia, according to court documents.
"More than one student reported her saying Americans were bad people," the charges said, which also noted that "Gardheere was not the parent of any children on the bus."
When the driver and students told Gardheere to get off the bus, the now-county council candidate told them multiple times that they needed to calm down because she could have a "bomb" and might have a gun, the documents show.
"You need to calm yourselves down 'cause I could have a bomb. Look how loose my clothes are," Gardheere said, according to an audio recording of the incident described in court documents.

A Dutch / Flemish group who has been active for decades have commemorated mandela day by exposing the real mandela, which the mainstream media hides. They have asked others to do the same. They hung a banner on the statue of Nelson Mandela with a sign saying: “Terrorist, communist, murderer!”
Protesters from the patriotic group Voorpost have hung a sign on the statue of Nelson Mandela in Scheveningen, Netherlands in protest on mandela day. In large black letters is written "Terrorist, communist, murderer" on the placard.
A video from one of the members of Voorpost shows how three men attach the sign to the statue via a ladder. He says many people including mainstream media and the left worship mandela but they hide the real truth... he is not sacred, he was evil...
"Nelson Mandela was a murderer, a terrorist and a communist, and it's about time we started to do something about it," says the creator of the video as he films the action of his associates.
"It is time for people to know that it was not a saint. Since this man was released, over 4,000 white farmers in South Africa have been killed. "
The group put up the sign today because it is Nelson Mandela Day. On its website, the Flemish-Dutch action group Voorpost called on members to carry out similar actions in other places in the Netherlands and Belgium where a referral by Nelson Mandela can be found.
For example, the website shows that activists have also been active in Delft, Hellevoetsluis and Bergen op Zoom, among others.
