Video shows the moment a freight train slammed into a tractor-trailer Thursday morning in Haverstraw. Police said the truck, which was carrying supplies to a nearby plant, somehow got stuck on the tracks.

In this clip I continue fixing the issues this old tractor had, the radiator at some point took a hit and was fixed. This old fix eventually broke so I am touching up on the soldering. I also mount new belts for the water pump and hydraulic pump

I never tried to start this tractor because I had small children and did not want to accidentally hurt them. Now they are grown ups and the time for the tractor has come. So in this clip I get it started and move it around a bit to a better spot for fixing a few issues it has.
It is a Volvo T31 of unknown vintage, these tractors were made between 1949 and 1957 I think. Volvo made about 6500 of these, it was considered a medium sized tractor at that time. The engine has 34 Hp and should burn Kerosene.
I did rebuild the magneto on it this winter.

New Rochelle, NY: Three tractor trailers jackknifed on I-95 southbound between Larchmont (Exit 17) and New Rochelle (Exit 16). Injuries have been reported in two separate incidents — one in New Rochelle involving two tractor trailers and one in Larchmont. All three are believed to be weather-related. Sister's brother-in-law, Chuck, was with me on this visit to pink house. He had an adventure with my Uncle getting the Kubota really stuck in "gumbo" mud with cottonmouth snakes. Pulled them out with tractors, Chuck got really muddy so the little "pond" with river water out back got used more than normal to get mud off before coming inside.
At pink house for a few days. Can't really upload videos there due to internet issues so video here is over three days. Set posts in concrete, disked field twice, cleaned trash dumped by road. Just things needing to be done.
No, it isn't normal for your reverse to "creep". After about 300 hours of use, I noticed my reverse was getting slower and it wasn't long after that before I had to slip my toe under the forward pedal and lift up to reverse the tractor. Back in the middle of October, I came up with another 'excuse' to work my cub. Using the cultivators, I have found an easy way to level out the mounds created by hand hoeing/digging potatoes.
