#unity3d

Currently working on my game's pause screen.
The camera still rotates with RStick while the game is paused, this is because the camera rotation follows RStick absolutely instead of using Time.deltaTime.
Right now, I'm considering either getting rid of the black overlay during the pause screen, OR disabling the ability to rotate the camera while the game is paused.

It's all coming together! Nat (THOTalie) Twitch streams again as she builds a Silent Hill inspired 3D Unity level for her University horror game final project. The stream that night was unusually popular, largely thanks to Nat's webcam being on. LaughingMan and KahunaDrake keep her company.

Nat builds a Silent Hill 2 inspired 3D level in Unity, based primarily on Silent Hill's Brookhaven Hospital. Her goal is to create a 3D survival horror level in Unity, and have people play using one of several sets of camera types (fixed, first person, third person over-the-shoulder) to test how cameras affect the sense of unease. Do fixed, cinematic cameras like the original Silent Hill games and the Resident Evil Playstation trilogy convey a higher sense of dread than character-based perspectives? That's what she intends to find out.

Black Shepherd Games is an independent video game development studio created by two gamer/programmers, Matt and Nat. Together we are working together to fulfill our age-old goals of becoming video game creators. We will supplement our developer diaries with unique on-line video content and game live streams with our supporters.

All chat comments are the sole opinion and responsibility of the commentator. But don't take things too seriously, we're all friends here, and we like to banter and trade jabs. It's all in good fun. Beyond that: Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes!

We're a small band of independent game developers pursuing our life-long passions of creating video games. It's not an easy goal, but along the way we hope to create frequent video content, including but not limited to:
- Game Development Diaries and Programming Streams

After loosing the ALL the data on my Nihilist game, its nice to have some real progress on this thing. I'v been working almost non stop. Next i'll be working on graphics, then I'll polish what i have, and add the rest of the bits. Overall I may have another years worth of work ahead of me...maybe. It depends how fast things go.

But for now here is what I have been working on for the last....few months.

Here is a simple 2D camera script tutorial to help you start your game project. I want it to be an in depth look at HOW this sort of thing works, so you (and I ) can use this info to make bigger and better things in the future.

Im still working out HOW I want to do thees videos and what editor I want to use.

I have spent the last month improving some things. Every move I make is a step closer to completing the project. Maybe once i'm done ill make a full fledged game out of it. That or work on something else for awhile.

This is a prototype virtual reality simulation, which places the viewer inside a blood vessel. The program communicates with a Heart Beat Sensor, from which it receives blood flow readings in real-time. These readings are used to pulse the simulated blood in time to my real heart beat. The prototype was made with Unity3D, and runs on an Oculus Rift.
