#zoetrope

I started to sketch out ideas for this degree project in the summer of 2014 and finished final edits in April 2015. In the beginning I knew that I wanted to create a stop motion film with soda cans. Through class critiques ideas changed and evolved into what you see here. The music used in this film are titled “Cylinder One” by Chris Zabriskie and “Stourpaine March”, composer unknown. (I do not own the rights to these songs. I am simply using them for entertainment/ educational purposes.)

I’m always looking for ways to improve my work and a simple thumb up or down doesn’t tell me specifically what I’m doing right or wrong. So instead, I’d prefer if people leave a comment discussing the video.

This is a zoetrope I made for one of my animation classes. A zoetrope is an early animation device that produces the illusion of motion from a rapid series of static pictures (also known as frames). The theme of this zoetrope is nutrition and exercise. The song used in this piece is "Swipesy cakewalk" by Scott Joplin. (I do not own the rights to this song; I am simply using it for entertainment/ educational purposes).
