Parasyte

Shinichi wakes up to a strange worm like creature trying to burrow it's way into his body, but after a few seconds it disappears. He assumes it was a nightmare & goes back to sleep. The next morning to his dismay he discovers his right hand has been taken over by a Parasitic Sentient Entity. This is the start of his journey with his new unlikely partner as they struggle to find a way to co exist in secret.

Only a couple days has past & Shinichi had to fend off an attack from hostile Parasite. His new unlikely partner Migi (his right hand) does not know where he came from or why he or his kind exist. They continue to learn about each other while trying to find the answers & the trouble has only just begun.

Shinichi was forced to fight another hostile Parasite after it tried to convince Migi to join it's body. It seems other Parasites do not care for the idea of failed Parasitic/Host combos like Shinichi/Migi. They must use caution when confronting them because of this, but when going to school the following day he discovers his new Teacher is a Parasite, She immediately knows Shinichi's secret the second they make eye contact. But is she hostile, why is she there & what will she do?

After meeting with his new "Teacher" Shinichi hears that she is only there to learn & observe. She tells him that she won't harm him, Migi agrees but Shinichi remains skeptical. His Teacher Ms. Tamura asks them to meet her for lunch to discuss something. Shinichi reluctantly agrees. He meets another less than enthusiastic Parasite "Mr. A" that threatens him slightly. The following day the unstable Mr. A decides to Kill Shinichi & Migi because he deems them too dangerous. The school is evacuated after School Staff are attacked by the rampaging Mr. A, Shinichi decides to stay & fight & has readied himself for the fight, but will he & Migi survive this one?

Shinichi & Migi are forced to mortally wound the out of control Mr. A in self defense. A coupe of days later Shinichi happens upon a Classmate getting beat up pretty badly & decides to intervene & gets beat up himself (luckily for the Bullies Migi does not intervene). After the confrontation he catches the eye of the Girl (Kana) that was there with the Punks. She senses something about him but doesn't know quite what it is & Migi warns him to stay away from her. After all of this he convinces his parents to take a trip that he previously thought was a bad idea.

Sadly it turns out Shinichi's first impression of his Parent's taking a Trip was a bad idea. His Mother had been Replaced by a Parasite in need of a Body. Migi wakes up Shinichi warning him of one of his kind getting close. The Parasite that killed his Mother had the address & key to his house from her purse, she returned to finish off his Father & finds Shinichi instead. Still perceiving him as a threat she Stabs him through the Heart. Miraculously Migi is able to save him by turning himself into a functioning Heart while repairing his grave wound. After days Shinichi wakes up to the phone & learns his dad is in the Hospital & sets out to find his Replaced Mother.

After Migi joined with his Heart Shinichi finds that not only does he no longer need glasses his senses have been heightened & he seems much more athletic. Migi tells him that it has come at a cost, he (Migi) falls asleep completely for apx 4 hours each day, a weakness he did not have before. He also meets another Human/Parasite Hybrid (Uda) & gains his trust after telling him his story. Shinichi met up with his Father who seems to have amnesia but otherwise mostly ok. Shinichi stays with his Dad until he is able to leave the Hospital because he knows the Parasite that stole his Mothers Body will be coming for him & he wants revenge.

Shinichi's personality seems to have changed on top of his new abilities & his friends start to notice this change too. Reiko Tamura the former Parasite teacher sends another seemingly friendly Parasite (Hideo Shimada) to observe Shinichi/Migi. Shinichi remains skeptical of him & warns him never to harm anyone anywhere near him. Tensions build between Shinichi & his Girlfriend Murano over his changing personality & to add icing to the cake Kana the girl that can sense Parasites ( unbeknownst to her, she believes she can only sense Shinichi ) steps in at the worst time.

Things continue to get more heated when the same group of bullies tries to pick a fight with the Parasite Shimada. Shinichi confronts them & scares the bullies off to prevent them from being killed. Shinichi's childhood friend has a crush on Shimada & has been watching him from a distance. She discovers he is not what he seems & can't believe her eyes.

Yuko calls out Shimada to see if he is in fact human & he becomes agitated & hostile & in defense Yuko throws a bottle of Acid (they are alone in the science room) at him & Shimada looses control & goes on a psychotic rampage. Migi senses this & Shinichi springs into action to stop him as the school gets evacuated. Murono & her class fail to evacuate but Shinichi manages to save her just in time. She sees his super human strength when he jumps from a 3-4 story window & than jumps a 10 foot fence. Shinichi & Migi than head to finish off Shimada themselves.

The group of Parasites that Reiko Tamura is part of is continuing to experiment with their abilities as creatures & in society. They begin campaigning for local Government while another of them tests their skills in Battle. Meanwhile Shinichis relationship with Murano is gradually getting better but is still far from perfect. At the same time his stalker Kana still can't get him off her mind & won't leave him alone.

Kana dreams of Shinichi again & is convinced they are meant to be together. Shinichi tries to convince her to stay away but she keeps running into him & other Parasites. So in an attempt to get her to understand Shinichi goes against Migi's wishes & tells Kana his story. She doesn't entirely believe him & once again tries to find Shinichi & finds something she didn't bargain for...

In a fit of rage Shinichi destroyed the Parasite that killed Kana with his bare hands. He gets colder & his relationship with Murano gets even more luke warm. He strugles internally starting to wonder if he is even human anymore. The parasites decide his fate because they have seen him as a threat from the start.

Shinichi has a falling out with Murano, he just can't tell her about his secret. A Private Investigator has been tailing him & at first Migi tried to kill him but Shinichi stopped him from doing it. Together they decide to call their friend Uda the other Human/Parasite Hybrid to help catch & question the P.I. rather than kill him. Later Shinichi tracks down Reiko Tamura to question her about some things & as usual she still finds Shinichi/Migi intriguing.

The Private Investigator does not heed Shinichi's advice to back off & gets himself into trouble. Shinichi helps him & is forced to kill another Parasyte, this time in one of their designated feeding areas. The P.I. decides to back off & the next day the Parasites decide to get Rid of Shinichi & send a rather unique parasite with a Personality to match after him & Migi falls asleep, than the chase begins.

The somewhat comical chase becomes far more deadly when Shinichi & Migi find out who they are really facing off against. Gotou the Super Being has 5 Parasites inside one body all under his complete control. Shinichi stands no chance & barely escapes. The P.I. from before has had his family attacked for sticking his nose in where it didn't belong. Shinichi sees Migis conscious inside his dreams again.

After countless times of Reiko Tamura trying to convince the Parasite Council not to Kill Shinichi they have decided not only to go after Shinichi but to kill her as well. A battle ensues between them & while the fight is happening the P.I. decides to take revenge for the attack on his family & kidnaps Reiko's baby. Reiko contacts Shinichi & asks him to meet her in a park. Murano happens to see Shinichi getting on a bus & decides to follow him to get some answers.

Reiko Tamura meets up with the P.I. in the Park & doesn't hesitate to mortally wound him the second he threatens her Baby. Even though a Parasyte she gave Birth to the Child & was it's Mother. Shinichi catches up with her before being surrounded by Police looking for a Parasyte. It's the same Cop that spoke with his Father & knows he was also the one who found Kana murdered by a Parasite. If he wasn't suspicious before he is now. The Cops put down Reiko & she doesn't fight back only protects the Baby & Murano sees it all.

Shinichi is brought in to the Police Station along with others for testing to see if they can sense Parasites. He is sat down in front of a Serial Killer who can sense parasites. He feels a very different kind of fear than from anything he has before. A short time passes & Shinichi tries to move on with life but gets called to help the Police with their Plan to Destroy the Parasites.

The Operation to Exterminate the Parasites continues. Shinichi & the Killer (in cuffs) are present to help spot the Parasites in the Government Building they have surrounded. Eventually the Killer is escorted inside to help find the remaining few & he catches a glimpse of Gotou & flees in Terror. Gouto the Super Parasite gives the police a taste of his power.

Every Parasite in the Building is Dead (except one) along with the Mayor who turned out to be Human. Gotou continues to slaughter the rest of the Police in the building & the Serial Killer escapes amid the chaos. Gotou confronts Shinichi & gives him a foreboding warning that he will come for him but leaves him alive for now. Shinichi finally makes up with Murano before he faces his Destiny with Gotou.

Shinichi makes an effort to get as far away from the City before confronting Gotou. Despite their best efforts the Invincible Gotou proves to be too strong. Migi valiantly sacrifices Himself to save Shinichi who barely escapes. Beaten & bruised Shinichi finds his way to a small town nearby where a Nice but not so Nice Old Woman Mitsuyo takes him in & cares for him. Murders start to happen a few days later & Shinichi finds his resolve & sets out into the Dark Forest alone to end things with Gotou once & for all.

On his own Shinichi Bravely heads into the Dark Forest to Face the Monster Gotou. He stays calm & collected with Wood Cutter in Hand he readies for the Battle of his Life.

Migi survived inside of Gotou & was freed the moment Shinichi wounded the Invincible Monster. Shinichi & Migi fight together one last time to finish off their Nemesis. A few days later Migi informs Shinichi his Body has undergone a change once again after leaving his body for so long, he will soon go to sleep & most likely forever. Shinichi's life was normal until he ran into an old acquaintance, the escaped Killer who takes Murano Hostage & kills a few people at the same time. Without Migi how will Shinichi save the love of his life?
