Cartoon & Comic Book Chronicles
For all your cartoon themes and comic book audio series!
Tuning for Toons is a series of sets that feature theme songs of cartoon shows old and new, with some parody commercials from the Grand Theft Auto games thrown in (because why not?).
Tintin's Audio Adventure Series reviews the legendary comic books that were written and illustrated by Belgian artist Georges Remi a.k.a Hergé.
Asterix & the Indomitable Audio Series reviews the iconic comic books that were originally written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo and now written and drawn by the team of Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad respectively.
Consider this my extra little gift to you all if you've been keeping up with my channel and are still with it :) welcome to my new series Tuning for Toons. If you're part of my generation, between ages of 25 and 35, then this will definitely be a series for you. I've no idea how long it will go for but we'll enjoy it while we can. This series will feature themes and sounds from classic cartoon shows from way back in the day. Shows that I remember watching with friends and family and maybe you watched the same shows too. If you have any stories or memories to share, feel free to share. I'll also include parody commercials too so please don't skip them haha. Test yourself by listening to each set without looking at the tracklist first, find out how many themes you can still recognise...and you can do the same thing to others that you share the sets with. A nice little nostalgia game. Enjoy!

Welcome to set #2, originally recorded on Wednesday 21 October 2020. Please excuse the poor audio quality for some of the themes, especially the older ones. Even after cleaning them up and raising volumes here and there, they might not sound crisp enough.

Welcome to set #6, recorded on Thursday 5 November 2020. Here is where this young series will pause for now and will continue alongside House of Sounds and Counting Electric Sheep in the new year. Thank you once again if you've enjoyed these first few releases, share this series so it can reach others of our generation who may still remember these shows. We were really lucky to have been around to see them because chances are future generations will not get anything which comes close to what we got. Enjoy your holidays, take care and let's meet up again in 2021.

Gotta end the year on somewhat of a high note, eh? Hello there :) welcome to the first of 3 special sets that I decided to put together and share with everyone. This was going to be one massive set when I first thought of doing this but the list I compiled made me reconsider and so we will have 3 sets instead, which I think is for the best. Each set features themes and songs from a number of televsion shows that I remember from way back. Part 1 has themes from action-packed series, how many will you recognise? Just like for Tuning for Toons, I recommend listening to the sets without looking at the tracklist until afterwards. Enjoy the trip down memory lane and be sure to share the experience with others, maybe they loved these TV shows too. Take care!

Strap in because here comes Part 3! Welcome to the end of what has been an awesome trip back in time. We had action, we had drama and now we bring the family and friends together for some serious laugh out loud moments. The tracklist is so massive that it can't fit here in the Description so I posted it on PasteBin and will put the link below. Thank you to everyone who has listened to and shared Part 1 and Part 2, it was fun to hear all those themes again after so many years. Some shows I'd even forgotten about. It's safe to say we were lucky to be alive during what I think was the golden age of television (from the 1950s up to...let's say the mid 2000s). I highly doubt there'll ever be another golden age, not when things have changed so much. Apologies for the sound quality of some themes and there are a couple of times when I missed my cue to play the next song so there are a few brief moments of silence. Otherwise, it's still worth the time and I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. We'll meet again in the new year, bye for now.

For all the old timers out there, from the docile ones to the cranky and stubborn ones who won't quit, this is for you :) welcome to Channel 09. It was on Tuesday 13 October 2020 when Channel 01 was shared with the rest of the world (it started off as a little nostalgia set that I put together for my friends and cousins) and here we are just over a year later. I wasn't sure how anyone outside of the people I know were going to take Channel 01 but the response was positive enough for me to begin a new audio series. Thank you to everyone who checked out Channel 01 and has continued to follow TFT ever since. The whole aim of it was to remind you of these amazing cartoons that we were lucky enough to watch way back. Many of them aren't around anymore except in the form of scattered episodes and clips on Youtube. Others have been rebooted, sometimes that has helped but other times it has not. Enjoy Channel 09, your weekend and take care!

Here it is folks, the first TFT of the new year....and the last one of the season :/ welcome to it anyway, how are you doing? Keep those fingers crossed for the executives of the CFO network (ChuteFlicksOffice) to renew TFT for a second season. It's been a fun little run hasn't it? Thanks to everyone who has been checking out this series from the beginning, my hope is that it was a nice nostalgia trip and you were reminded of those amazing cartoons from way back. I started TFT while knowing that it wouldn't be a long running series like House of Sounds or Counting Electric Sheep, because unlike those 2 series I actually have a list which I am working from. A list of cartoon shows that I remember from back in the day. Once I've gone through that list TFT will end. The good news is that there are always chances of shows that I've forgotten to come back to me, and when that happens I will add them to the list. Enjoy Channel 10, I would say it is a nice way to wrap up the first season :) cheers for now and take care!

Title: Tintin in the Congo
Written by: Hergé
Illustrated by: Hergé
Publication: Serialised in Le Petit Vingtième from 5 June 1930 to 11 June 1931, released as a collected volume in 1931 by Éditions de Petit Vingtième then a few months by Casterman. It would be redrawn in colour by Hergé in 1946 for Casterman.
- English translation was done by Leslie Lonsdale-Cooper and Michael Turner. Casterman published the English version of the original black and white edition in 1991, while Egmont (a Danish media corporation) published the coloured version in 2005.
**Corrections**
- I identified the children's supplement as The Little Century, it's meant to be The Little Twentieth (Le Petit Vingtième).
- The documentary Tintin & I came out in 2003, not 2005.
- Forgot to mention that in the coloured version, Thomson & Thompson are present at the train station too but they're standing off to the side.

**Corrections: I kept calling Book 4 Cigars of the Pharaohs instead of Cigars of the Pharaoh, sorry about that.
