[ Frank Zappa / Bruce Bickford ] + [ Gestalt OrchestrA ]
Zappa released this video "The Amazing Mister Bickford" in 1987, which was entirely composed of 1978 Bickford animations set to a soundtrack of Zappa's orchestral music. This version use the music of Gestalt OrchestrA from Canku Wakan free album. http://archive.org/details/CankuWakan instead of the original soundtrack.
Bruce Bickford (born Seattle, 1947) is a maker of animated films who works primarily in clay animation. From 1974 to 1980 he collaborated with Frank Zappa. Bickford's animation was featured extensively in the Frank Zappa videos Baby Snakes and The Dub Room Special.
Bickford's animations depict surreal scenes based on his unique worldview. Often outwardly seeming to be somewhat disconnected from the world around him, Bruce Bickford's work is extremely subjective in its content and concepts, making for some disturbing and shocking imagery. Much of his video work depicted fast-moving, fluid-like transformations of human figures and disfigured faces into odd beasts on surreal structural settings with impressive camera effects (moving around within his stop-motion animation). The narrative is not explicit and use a lot the symbolic language.
Trivia : This movie shows the first use of the "bullet time" effect in clay animation (a technique of several cameras taking pictures in the same time around somebody)

"Dada or Dadaism is a cultural movement that began in Zurich, Switzerland, during World War I and peaked from 1916 to 1922. The movement primarily involved visual arts, literature—poetry, art manifestoes, art theory—theatre, and graphic design, and concentrated its anti-war politics through a rejection of the prevailing standards in art through anti-art cultural works. Its purpose was to ridicule what its participants considered to be the meaninglessness of the modern world. [Italics mine.] In addition to being anti-war, dada was also anti-bourgeois and anarchist in nature. "Dada activities included public gatherings, demonstrations, and publication of art/literary journals; passionate coverage of art, politics, and culture were topics often discussed in a variety of media. The movement influenced later styles like the avant-garde and downtown music movements, and groups including surrealism, Nouveau réalisme, pop art, Fluxus and punk rock."

This is a film—not a movie—and whilst not completely successful as a piece of art, it pushes the boundary of film and narrative." If Dada is about the purposeless sterility of modern life, this film is about how people shut down and armor themselves in order to survive in it—and then turn to just about anyone or anything in the desperate attempt to wake up, open back up, and to actually feel something.
And what if 1968 was just the fertilization of the population ? 50 years later are we still pregnant ? When will happen the birth ? Thanks so much to the wise free humans who choice to let this subversive full length film free to be share. There is no more walls front of us, if we remove all their bricks, to free the wide future garden. It's still time to build up a better world.

[ Alejandro Jodorowsky / Roland Topor / Fernando Arrabal ] + [ Gestalt OrchestrA ]
Panic Movement (Mouvement panique) was a collective formed by Fernando Arrabal, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Roland Topor in Paris, France in 1962. Inspired by and named after the god Pan, and influenced by Luis Buñuel and Antonin Artaud's Theatre of Cruelty, the group concentrated on chaotic performance art and surreal imagery.
The Panic Movement performed theatrical events designed to be shocking, as a response to surrealism becoming petite bourgeoisie and to release destructive energies in search of peace and beauty. One four-hour performance known as Melodrama Sacramentral was staged in May 1965 at the Paris Festival of Free Expression. The "happening" starred Jodorowsky dressed in motorcyclist leather and featured him slitting the throats of two geese, taping two snakes to his chest and having himself stripped and whipped. Other scenes included a staged murder of a rabbi, a crucified chicken, a giant vagina giving birth to Jodorowsky, naked women covered in honey and the throwing of live turtles into the audience.
Arrabal and Jodorowsky later started to work also on film. They collaborated on the cult Fando y Lis in 1968. Arrabal is well-known for his 1971 film Viva la muerte and 1973 film I Will Walk Like a Crazy Horse and 1975 film The Tree of Guernica. Jodorowsky achieved even greater popularity and a cult status with The Holy Mountain, El Topo and Santa Sangre.
Jodorowsky dissolved the Panic Movement in 1973, after the release of Arrabal's book Le panique.

The analogic process is made by the audio signal of an electric frequency generator in a an audi fx pad convert in video signal and manually mixed by a DIY system. The digital experiments is made by incrustation filter and at the end of the film by a artificial data corruption on dvdplayer.
It would be fun to use Analoglitch as name for the analogic glitch art.
Thanks to Guillaume Vallée who have give me the opportunity to go back trying again to turn an audi signal in video signal by inviting me to experiment with video recorder, by experimenting himself this way to enlarge the scale of the live glitch art.
