House of Sounds from the Vault

Word! How are you? Allen here and welcome to the first episode of the monthly release idea I spoke about :) Two reasons why I will be releasing both parts back to back - August ends this week and our weekly Internet subscription ends on Thursday midnight. This is just in case we don't get reconnected in time, so I hope you understand. This is the first full mix I ever did either in 2008 or in 2009. Began a series of mixes called My Mixed World. How you doing? Hope you're well. I was planning to record House of Sounds Episode 19 and 20 (to balance out the two sets of Counting Electric Sheep) but I was just not in the right groove, no pun intended. So to make up for that, I've got some bonus content for you. It's been some months since I dove into the vault and featured something from old projects I did. The aim was to make this a monthly series, things here got bad and I wasn't online as regularly as I wanted to be. Anyway, Sons of a Dancer was a compilation album series that I team up with my good friends Petros (a.k.a DJ Ros) and Nigel (a.k.a the Tenphoot DJ) to put together. Each of us would work on a disc and release that as an album. Together we put out Volume 1 and 2. There was going to be Volume 3 but life happened, that's a story for another day. I'm happy to be sharing this little project with you, please enjoy and take care!

Welcome to the first of two throwback releases that we'll be checking out today, how are you doing? Good? Bad? Meh? :) it's been a while since we explored the Vault, and initially it was supposed to be a monthly thing. But you're well aware of my internet troubles here so that's why there's been such a big gap between now and the last release. This is the first compilation album which was done by my good friend Petros a few years ago. It takes me back to a time when we were exposed to a lot of EDM tunes and that inspired us to put together compilations like these to showcase some of our favourite songs. It was fun and hey, we had a decent run for a few years so I hope you'll enjoy these gems from the Vault. Take care!
