Super Mario 64 Series: Revenge of the Ice God

The first episode of a Super Mario 64 series I did from 2009 to 2011. Originally uploaded on my original YouTube account before it got taken down and reuploaded a few to Zippcast and Vidme until they died as well as Vimeo. So I'll be reuploading the entire 20 episodes here. Keep in mind, there are plot holes and my writing isn't perfect. I was only 14 to 16 at the time. Hope you enjoy.

Episode 2 of the series. And to be honest, looking back on it, this episode was really bad. The YouTubers in this episode didn't need to be here and just padded out run time and those ones here served no purpose at all. Enjoy the video, even though it's one of the worst episodes I did.

Episode 3 of the series. Another fairly bad episode I did, but also the first video I made in Sony Vegas. Also a few parts of the video were glitchy as hell and I didn't need to badly crop the footage either. Also switched from HyperCam to CamStudio starting with this video. Two programs I never use anymore. And you can still hear the Pokemon FireRed audio in the battles. And the retarded Batman gag was from the Wrath of the Ice God series. I used to think it was funny back then, but it's really not that funny anymore. And the out of time gag would go on a bit too long. Enjoy.

Episode 4 of the series. And also the beginning of the Ojama brothers subplot that went practically nowhere later down the road, same with Manjoume/Chazz. And as for him working at McDonald's, I made that up years ago and it was just a stupid idea in my head. And I really overused the Airship Theme (Super Mario Bros. 3) from Brawl, when I should have used Mr. L's theme instead. And once again, reused an end video joke. And the ending I made did not have to be that long. It was really bad. Enjoy.

Episode 5 of the series. This episode included the sages from ACDCGAMER's Super Mario Dark Omen series starting from this point. And this is when the We Are The Champions gag began. And looking back, while I do like the song, I admit I overdid it. And the sages looking for Ojama Green dragged on for way too long. Enjoy.

Episode 6 of the series and also the last episode to be made in Windows Movie Maker. And, this episode is just bad. Mario going to another dimension to save Ojama Black was a blatant ripoff of ACDCGAMER's Super Mario series, Dark Omen, episodes 6 and 10 in particular as it's the exact same plot to rescue Felix the Sage of Truth. When I was a 14 year old moron, I thought it was different, but it really isn't. And the music choice could have been better, such as using Bowser's Road from either Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy instead of the overused Brawl version of the Airship Theme, and the no music joke I made wasn't that funny. And of course, I spelled Polymerization wrong. I do it again in a later episode, but then again, the whole Ojama King and Ojama Delta Hurricane stuff never happened because I never did it. So this subplot was pretty much done for nothing to be fair. Enjoy.

The 7th episode of the series and also from here on out, the videos would be made on Sony Vegas Pro, which I still use to this day, but back then it was 9 or 11. Now I use 16. And once again, another mediocre episode. In text, I pointed out that I made that desert background in paint and it's really bad. The driving scene using More than a Feeling by Boston dragged on for way too long and used almost the entire song and it felt like complete filler. Instead, I could have used split screens for Mario and Luigi's footage, or just cut them down a lot. Also a little side note, originally, for a few episodes, I had an ending using dub Duel Monsters footage from episode 33 and Smash 64 footage in tune to No Matter What from the DM dub, but I cut them out as they drag out the episode, also copyright issues on YouTube years ago. So I prefer the ending being completely cut out as it was a waste of time. Enjoy.

Episode 8 of the series. The only things I shouldn't have done were making YGO Abridged references, Mario and the legendaries VS the Ice Clones dragged on for too long and copying and pasting of the Crystal King theme from Paper Mario was done poorly. Overall, could have been better. Enjoy.

Episode 9 of the series. And also, the God card plot begins, but doesn't really go anywhere later down the road. Just like episode 6, once again, I spelled Polymerization wrong and this is also the episode when Star Fox are added in, even though the franchise is mostly on death's door. Sadly, I forgot the color codes for them though. Even started using Japanese GX music here. Not really much to criticise here. Enjoy.

Episode 10 of the series. This is the true introduction to the YouTubers who were a part of this series, starting with poker8100, and more down the road later on. One of which is still my online friend to this day, which I'll mention when I get to it. The Ra chant is obviously a reference to the dub but also credit goes to bigmikef5 in a YGO Abridged episode 42 comment for the Mega Ultra Chicken chant. I made two videos with it, one with Dark Marik, and one with Atem, but they were pretty bad. Anyway, Mario being in the volcano naked wasn't necessary and I do make a few gay and rape jokes regarding the Bully enemies. Even one later on with a Spindrift. And the whole scene mostly a ripoff from Wrath of the Ice God 3 and 5 as well as Incredibly Stupid Mistakes in Super Mario 64. It wasn't very good. Keep in mind that I support gay people as well, but I don't mind the occasional jokes here and there. Hope you enjoy.

Episode 11 of the series. This is when Clear Mind by Masaaki Endoh starts playing in fights, and I'll admit I really overdid it in later episodes. Amazing song though. Also, Rozen from Dark Omen makes his appearance in this series and gives the Dark One his eyes, and as for them being brothers, I made that up. But of course, those two characters wouldn't last long in the next few episodes anyway. Enjoy.

Episode 12 of the series. Starting with this episode, I used the Japanese 5D's soundtrack and the Faulconer Productions DBZ music in certain scenes. Also, included Yusei in the plot. More Dark One minions are introduced, with one more in the next episode. Speaking of, these YouTubers requested to be in this series, and I said yes, and same with others later down the road. This episode introduces thedarkone65 and Darkrai2010 and are important to the plot. Regarding poker8100, he came up with a sequel series called Wrath of the Weather God that I was going to work on and I only made one episode. I never went past that as I cancelled the series. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Episode 13 of the series and the last video to use Smash 64 footage. This episode also introduces ShadowReshiram1 (MewThree X), who's still my online friend to this day. Even though this series isn't perfect, if I didn't make it, I wouldn't be friends with Evan (ShadowReshiram1) right now and I'm glad we're friends. We were originally going to make a series together called Wrath of the Shadow Lord a long time ago, but I never did it. Anyway, on to the criticisms, even though I liked New Divide by Linkin Park, I think I should have chosen a better song for that fight, like Figure.09 instead as I like that song a lot better, or even Hit the Floor. Mario's transformation dragged on for WAY too long just to fit the music. If I redid that scene, I'd probably use Kikuchi's music instead and trim the footage down. This is also when I started using Manjoume instead of Chazz because I was more of a fan of the Japanese version at that point, and wrote both him and Kaiba out of the series. And the whole God card thing, yeah, that was pointless. Enjoy the video.

Episode 14 of the series and the first to use Melee footage from the Dolphin emulator. Keep in mind that back then, I played those ROMs using a keyboard. Nowadays, I use a DualShock 4 for emulation now. And you can tell that I rushed the deaths of the Dark One and Rozen. With the former, Clash of the Dark and Light by nikkonolasco/EnvoyoftheSword was never finished, as it only got up to the 2nd part of episode 2 and his original account got hacked later on at the time. And I think Rozen was better handled in ACDCGAMER's Dark Omen series to be completely honest. As for music, I could have used a different track instead of Through the Fire and Flames by DragonForce, which is why this video was blocked on my first YouTube account originally many years ago. The same with happen with the disappointing final episode, but I'll get to that. This was also the introduction to Leetunen and DarkSpineSonic11 at the very end who are a part of the plot. Enjoy.

Episode 15 of the series and one more YouTuber added in. This time being MashedAvacado, the creator of Wrath of the Lava God, a series he made that I actually liked at the time. And yes, I joined the fight in my series as well. The Ice Clone robot plot was done before in the original Wrath of the Ice God in I believe episode 11 (?), but unfortunately not every episode of the original series was archived sadly. And you'll notice ShadowReshiram1 has a different color coded outfit in this video compared to the last episode as well. Enjoy.

Episode 16 of the series and the first time I use Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2's music, even though it would have been better to use it earlier. There's also a Spindrift gay stalker joke and a flagpole joke there. The latter being a running gag in a lot of Super Mario 64 related videos back in the late 2000s. Also, the reason Bowser called the Ice God his minion in his fight with ShadowReshiram1 is because he was the Crystal King in Paper Mario. Enjoy.

Episode 17 of the series, and oh boy, this is when things drag on. And I mean the fights. I could have just lowered the stock from 3 to 2 or 1 and it would have been quicker. Of course, I didn't have a capture device back then. Just used CamStudio to record footage on Project 64 and Dolphin at the time. Using a keyboard as a controller still didn't help. Even though this episode focuses on the YouTubers and Star Fox VS the Ice Clones, the fights continue in the next two episodes and didn't need to drag on. Also used Star Fox Assault music here. Episode 18 of the series and the fight against the Ice Clones continue, even though they drag on for way too long. Enjoy.

Episode 19 of the series. Also the 2nd last episode. And... it wasn't very good. Most of it was just Dark Samus VS Ice Clones and Mario VS thedarkone65, even though the whole thing is kind of a plot hole looking at it. And I definitely did not need to use the entirety of Hero by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott, as I could have used different pieces of music instead. But oh boy, the finale would be a disappointment, I'll tell you that as these last few episodes were rushed. Enjoy.

The final episode of the series. And looking back on it, this was extremely rushed and a complete disappointment. Was also yet another episode that couldn't be uploaded on my original YouTube account in 2011 because of Through the Fire and Flames. And maybe I could have used a different song instead of The Melody of Promises by Masaaki Endoh. I still love the song though. And the rest of the video is just text and keep in mind, this was back when I had a massive hatred towards Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL when it was still airing in Japan, and those jabs at it were really stupid. I might not be a fan of the spinoff, but it has its fans and I let my hate for it go. It ended in 2014 anyway, and while I'm not a fan of the spinoffs after that, they have fans too. If I ever wanted to remake this series, I'd include full voice acting, use Smash Ultimate footage using my Elgato HD60, a better screen capture program, a ton of sound effects and music, but they'd have to be a bit lower in volume compared to the voices and I'd probably scrap the Dark One plot entirely and rework those YouTubers in a different way. And this series should not have been 20 episodes long, it should have been shorter than that to prevent padding.
