This alarming program reveals the daily battle between the Internet’s outlaws and the hackers who oppose them by warding off system attacks, training IT professionals and police officers, and watching cyberspace for signs of imminent infowar. Through interviews with frontline personnel from the Department of Defense, NYPD’s computer crime squad, private detective firm Kroll Associates, X-Force Threat Analysis Service, and several notorious crackers, the program provides penetrating insights into the millions of hack attacks that occur annually in the U.S. – including one that affected the phone bills of millions and another that left confidential details of the B-1 stealth bomber in the hands of teenagers. The liabilities of wireless networks, the Code Red worm, and online movie piracy are also discussed.
Web Warriors is a documentary that defines the conflict, establishes the stakes, and reveals the combatants in the escalating global battle taking place in cyber space. The film features computer hacker Michael Calce (aka Mafia Boy) who explains how as a 15 year old student he shut down Yahoo, Amazon, CNN, and Dell - from his bedroom. Viewers will watch grey hat hacker Donnie Werner (aka Morning Wood) as he comes face to face with the Russian cyber mafia as he searches for the creators of a new computer virus. Web Warriors is a wake-up call that we have entered the era of digital warfare where the stakes continue to escalate in a battle that now costs the global economy more than $500 Billion annually.
Holochain is an energy efficient post-blockchain ledger system and decentralized application platform that uses peer-to-peer networking for processing agent centric agreement and consensus systems between users. The key advantage of Holochain is that every device on the network gets its own secure distributed sub-network and can function independently while also interacting with all the other devices on the network for a truly decentralized edge computing solution.
In the wake of Internet censorship going wild, a FULLY DECENTRALIZED INTERNET is not only what is needed, but what is being developed right now. Though these technologies are the "Model-T" of things soon to come, they are extremely important. Beaker. TOR. I2P. WebTorrent. The Safe Network. Holo / HoloChain. Solid. Retroshare. The list goes on. Censorship isn't merely a freedom of speech issue, it is a freedom issue. If you have a product or project for making real true positive change but malicious algorithms and deplatforming prevent people from sharing the data -- then the only ideas, projects, products and services you will be allowed to see: are those which continue to sew chaos, pollute the planet and destroy humanity. All for the sake of a select few ultra rich to revel in their limitless greed and thirst for power.
Google Admits Intent to Manipulate Data. A damaging video of a Google internal meeting whereby top executives and co-founders discussed manipulating information on the internet. All attempts to contact Google on this matter were met with refusal by the company to respond. Although an hour long, it is encouraged that it is watched in its entirety.
In this video, Jackson Palmer explores Holochain - a new protocol for building decentralized apps, without a blockchain. They adopt an "agent centric" model and DHT (distributed hash table) for building and hosting apps in a decentralized way. To be clear: Jackson owns no Holo token and has no financial interest in the success/failure of the Holochain/Holo projects. :)

MaidSafe Meetings are an uncut, behind-the-scenes insight into what the team is discussing this week. We review what's been happening over the last 7 days and discuss any issues which might have arisen. The Beaker DAT Network is a distributed network similar to BitTorrent, that is not dependent upon any central server or tracker what so ever. Instead of being server-driven, flat static HTML pages (which are creative commons open source) are hosted by the people browsing them for the duration that those people are browsing them. Static seeds may also be created using services such as Hashbase. The network uses a dat:// syntax for accessing content. Applications, such as the Beaker Browser itself, are what control how the flat HTML pages look, how they feel and what they do. This makes interfaces and their functionality purely application-based, completely bypassing the need for any centralized back-end server. The computers which are running the apps and browsing the content, are the computers that are in control, and are the ones which are using, creating, modifying and distributing the content. Though this platform is as of yet a "model-a technology" it has obscene potential. Much like IPFS or WebTorrent, this is a completely transparent technology with zero security as of yet. So if you wish to secure a transparent technology, third party security must be used. An example within the traditional Internet, would be to use a VPN or the encryption found in the Transmission BitTorrent Client. The Safe Network, would be an example of a fully decentralized means of securing otherwise insecure and fully transparent platforms.

Is using the term "friend" in this context really no big deal? Or does it program people to devalue the concept of friendship as it promotes apathy and a disconnect from our fellow humans? Later joined by Richard Hamilton (GeneralTate). Also discussing the differences between social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, deviantART, TSU and so on.
