Have you discussed your thresholds with your family? That is, what does it take for you to pack up and go? I recommend you have these discussions with your family and/or group. Unless you live alone, being a unified front is critical. There are different types of Bug Outs. Which option is appropriate and when? Arguing before and during an evacuation can lead to dire consequences. Discussions such as these are part of preparedness. My husband and I engage in these scenario discussions whenever there is a new variable to consider.
