When it comes to selling on Amazon, one of the most important moments is the period just after the initial product launch. It’s referred to as the “honeymoon” period and there’s a lot of talk in e-commerce communities about just how much extra “juice” Amazon gives to brand new products.
Of course, it’s in Amazon’s best interest that products (and sellers) be successful. That’s why (according to popular thought) they give new ASINs a little extra ranking push.
In this episode of the Serious Sellers Podcast, Helium 10’s Director of Training and Chief Brand Evangelist, Bradley Sutton takes a little “honeymoon” of his own. Because he wanted to showcase his new Amazon launch strategy involving aspects of the honeymoon period, he wanted to take a trip. Because this is episode 200, and because the strategy that he had come up with was so extraordinary, he wanted to go somewhere special.
If you Google “extravagant honeymoons,” one of the first things that pops up is the pristine nation of islands in the Indian Ocean called the Maldives. So, of course Bradley traveled 30 hours each way for a 24 hour stay to record this podcast.
After listening to his “Maldives Honeymoon” strategy, I think you’ll agree that it warrants such a special name!
