The Takeover - Megan Playthrough Part 2 (Ending)

After a series of diverse levels with different gimmicks including traps, undead and jet planes I faced the final boss, who was quite challenging. You even get a choice of whether to finish her off or not, but I figured I wanted to get the good ending and showed mercy.

Overall I'm really impressed by this game. I love the visuals and the gameplay mechanics. The story, while simple is held together by charming characters and it's not every day that your villain is a single mom who is a mafia boss (very anti-woke if I may say so myself - good job). I really liked the variety in the levels, which help break up combat with a driving/flying level and with gimmicks and new enemies in the later stages. One minor criticism I have is that I wished weapons had combos attached to them, but I suppose you can do that with your firearm after a hit. I would definitely recommend this game to fans of the beat 'em up genre - it's one of my favourite titles I've played this year.
