In this video I prepare dinitrotetrapyridinenickel(II) as described on pages 193-194 of Inorganic Laboratory Preparations, a textbook that I have taken many preps from for this channel. It is very similar to the dinitrotetraaminenickel(II) I made several months ago which comes from the same textbook. In theory any small primary or secondary amine should be able to make compounds of this general type.
