1.) It is just a *proposal* yet so it will be discussed and probably changed a lot until it effectively takes effect 2.) If Alphabet, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple and probably also SAP, Fujitsu, Akamai and all national internet access providers really go to Brussels to protest they will think twice 3.) US internet companies have prove to be extremely good at breaking EU law without consequences. Why should they be unable to do the same thing this time?
If Youtube shuts all European channels down it's not because they really had no other choice. IMHO.
