Red Riding Hood by Daniel Kelly

My four year old son asked me to read Red Riding Hood last night. I had forgotten how bizarre and disturbing this story is.

On reflection, I think this would have been a rape-warning morality story for young girls, too young to understand sex but old enough to understand how unpleasant being eaten by a wolf would be.

I know my re-interpretation of the story is dark, but they are called Grimm for a reason.
