On 29 and 30 April 2019, the Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) and the civil rights organisation, AfriForum were in court to argue on whether the declaration that gratuitous displays of the old South African flag (1928 flag) constitute hate speech.

The NMF, supported by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and Johannesburg Pride, took the issue to court in February, naming AfriForum as a respondent.

On 30 April 2019 I featured as an AfriForum representative on YFM's live discussion program 'Y Talks' to report on the court case, as well as elaborate on AfriForum's key arguments and stance.

This appearance constitutes my radio debut.
