Using NASA photographs of the Earth, Sun and Moon, with a few other planetary moons included, editor Bill Schaeffer constructs a slide show that highlights the original sound construction called "Earth Telemetry"
Third in the video series called "Planet Earth in Outer Space"
It is instructive to remember that the Sun is eight light seconds from the Earth. The difference in size between the Sun and Earth is so great, that if the Sun were the size of a large orange, the Earth would be the size of the tip of a slightly sharpened pencil, or almost a speck -- very small in comparison.
According to latest Geological and Astronomical research, the Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old.

Curious addendum: Grafitti from the wall of Murphy's Pub in Champaign Urbana, Il circa 1980, "Although the moon is smaller than the earth, it is much farther away."
