Two Pittsburgh rappers recorded a song after getting themselves arrested on possession charges for both an illegal firearm and drugs. In it they name the officers, threatened their lives and intimidated them, and also encouraged their fans to physically harm them. One of them was found guilty of terroristic threats and witness intimidation and sentenced to two years. He has appealed and lost. Now there is a push by several prominent rappers who have taken up his cause for the United States Supreme Court to hear the case.

The defense the rapper used and they are using for the Supreme Court to hear it is, and I wish I was making this up, his rap persona made the threats and call to action, and therefore they shouldn’t be taken seriously.
