It has been said that LBJ told admiral George Morrison: "I want that goddamned ship on the ocean floor." This part of the so-called investigation has never been released. If this had been made public it would be concrete evidence that LBJ was working with Israel to sink the USS Liberty. This would be treason by a sitting president, so it is quite possible that this information was withheld from the public to save LBJ from a firing squad.
