Emily In Paris is a Netflix romcom that debuted near the beginning of the pandemic. Viewers flocked to it because it was a light, frothy tale of a young woman in the City of Lights living life to the fullest and decidedly not in lockdown like the rest of us were. Now that it's been nominated for a Golden Globe the outrage mob is highly incensed that other "more deserving" shows were snubbed in favor of nominating Emily In Paris. New information has emerged that perhaps members of the HFPA were gifted an extravagant visit to the set and that this lavish trip might have swayed the voters. Could this be the culprit or is it something more straightforward?
