** If you were wondering how one guy with just a guitar & a few effects pedals can get all those different sounds while playing solo - here's a list of equipment I'm currently using.
BTW: Nothing is ever prerecorded.. just my mind going 90 to nothing & some really busy feet!
* Gear used:
** Guitar:
Yamaha APX5A Thin-Line Acoustic Guitar
** Pedals:
Boss RC-20XL Loop Pedal
Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Boss PS-6 Harmonist (used to simulate Bass)
TC-Helicon Voice-Tone H1 Harmonizer (set to 1/3 above)
Electro-Harmonix Mel 9 (set to Strings)
Rolls MM11-PRO Pro Switchable Mic Mute/Talk (used for momentary mute on primary mic)
Rolls MM11-PRO Pro Switchable Mic Mute/Talk (used as an on switch for recording secondary mic in loop pedal)
Joyo JF-11 6 BAND Graphic Equalizer (used on secondary mic to allow separate EQ through loop pedal)
Digitech HT-6 Hardwire Poly Tuner
** Microphones & P.A. Gear:
1 Shure SM-58 Microphone with On/Of Switch
1 Standard Shure SM-58 Microphone
Yamaha StagePas 400I 400W PA System
Yamaha Model 400S Speakers
Peavey Mini-Monitor II Floor Monitors
FYI: I recently upgraded to color coded mic & Guitar cables. I find it's helping me avoid the dreaded end of night "cable spaghetti" confusion due to the fact that all black mic cables look the same & typically guitar cable(s) & P.A. cables are also generally black.
Add to that equation almost everyone that sits in with me also brings either a mic cable or guitar cable - or both.
Blue - main vocal mic
Red - secondary ..
