The hijacking of TWA Flight 847 was a direct result from the United States relationship with Israel. IMO this was another attempt by Israel to drag the United States into a war with Israel's neighbors. The MSM was far more revealing in 1985 than it is now. I believe Americans should have been able to figure out for themselves that U.S. relations with Israel is a bad thing from this event alone.
