Having obtained the King Tim he seemed to have grown big enough from all the feeding I did previously, but didn't grow then, so I consider this a bug, or yet another bad design choice. Anyhow, throwing the King Tim at the statue transforms it into a giant flying Tim, which takes you to an island with the Balan costume, which ironically doesn't require a key to obtain. Then I tried the costume in a level and dare I say it - it's actually fun to use. You can jump 10 times in a row and float when holding the button, essentially allowing you to fly around the levels and easily explore for statues. The issue of course is that like all other costumes if you get hit once you lose it and I dread to think what needs to be done to acquire it again. Why the Balan costume, which makes the game somewhat tolerable is locked behind a RANDOM drop, which is never explained is beyond me.
