During an interview with Stephen Colbert that is scheduled to air on Thursday night, the president-elect sat alongside Dr. Jill Biden and expressed "confidence" in his son. (Fox News)

"I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is and he’s a grown man, he is the smartest man I know – I mean from a pure intellectual capacity – and as long as he’s good, we’re good," Joe Biden said. (Fox News)

Mr Biden appeared in a pre-taped interview alongside his wife Dr Jill Biden due to air on Thursday night. (Independent)

Hunter Biden addressed the investigations in a statement issued by the Biden-Harris transition team last week. (New York Post)
