For a short time around 2012, there was an amazing French girl grunge band named UNKNW. They had a Soundcloud account and a Youtube channel, and as you can hear from this lone surviving EP, they were great.

Alas, the Soundcloud disappeared (but not before I downloaded their WAV files under the CC BY license), and more recently their Youtube channel was emptied of all content. Now all that survives are the FLAC files I uploaded to the Archive, and one live performance video a fan uploaded to Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG4YKbz70z4).

On the one hand, I'm very, very sorry they didn't find success. On the other hand, their use of the CC BY license has ensured that their music can live forever, without encumbrance or uncertainty.
