-Same video on my main YouTube channel, 5keeper7ful: https://youtu.be/Fu7WjMXnf6c
-Phoenix, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Salt Lake City International Airport.
-PHX to SLC. PHX-SLC.
-Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Long distance round trip travel in a single day. Midday to afternoon to evening. Brief layovers in between flights. After this outbound trip came the return trip: Salt Lake City (SLC) to Phoenix (PHX). Left Arizona in the midday, back home in Arizona in the evening. Departure and arrival! Boarding passes and fridge magnets are shown at the end.
-Inside the gate, taxi to runway, Takeoff (climb & ascent to cruising altitude), flight attendant announcements after surpassing 10,000 feet.
-Snack and drink service, Landing (descent & final approach), touchdown on runway, flight attendant "welcome" announcements , taxi to the gate, parking.
-Awesome views [behind the wing, from the window seat] of: Sky Harbor terminals & runways, Salt River, 202 loop & 101 loop freeways, ASU campus, Tempe, South Mountain, Mesa, Chandler/Gilbert/apache Junction in distance, McDowell Mountain, interstate 17 freeway, Coconino National Forest, Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, interstate 40 freeway (route 66), Grand Canyon National Park & Colorado River, AZ & UT state line, Saint George, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park in distance, Interstate 15 freeway, Sevier Lake, Utah Lake & city of Provo, Wasatch Mountains, downtown Salt Lake City, interstate 80 freeway.
-Seats, tray tables, flaps, landing gear, terminals, fun solo getaway, passengers, pilots, desert valley, mountains, lakes & rivers, farms, rolling hills, trees, freeways & cars, people. Clouds, cloudy, sunny skies, clear skies, cloudy skies, turbulence.
-This was my very first time in Salt Lake City and northern Utah in general. Only having visited Monument Valley in southern Utah, on a road trip with mom (summer 2015).
-This video was during a transition period at SLC (old terminals & gates still in use, while the newly built concourse A had recently opened. The newly built concourse B & tunnel wasn't ready yet). Major hub for Delta Airlines!!
-Photos of that plus souvenirs and boarding passes are shown at the end.
*I flew SWA as a kid in the 90's, and not again until 2018. This was my first opportunity flying on Herb Kelleher's tribute plane ([N711HK] Boeing 737-700), featuring their retro desert gold paint job. Nostalgia!! Memories!! Flashback!!
