"Victoria, and indeed Australia, did not step into a police state in 2020 with the declaration of emergency powers. Freedoms and rights have been steadily eroded for decades now. We've allowed our governments to get away with more and more in the name of safety, and so we've let our liberties trickle through our fingers. Vic polls response to the protest did not spring fully formed from the Premier's brow during the 2nd lock downs last year. A culture of impunity and lawlessness has been growing there for a long time.
Now the whirlwind is in the thorn bush. The lines between the government, the bureaucracy, the police and the courts have been blurred. Separation of powers is no longer a thing in Victoria."

Last week democratically elected representatives of the people were forced out of Parliament by the Lab/Lib duopoly. The government and the supposed opposition teamed up (as usual) to disrespected and disregard the constituents some MPs represent.
This is Tim Quilty's speech on the government's motion to suspend MPs who either are not vaccinated or refuse to hand over their private medical data.
