‘One conclusion’: Gender-affirming care ‘does not allow’ for other conversations to exist

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant Doctor George Halasz says the gender affirmative care model has a “sense of certainty” which does not allow other conversations to exist.

“One conclusion … the affirmative model has a self-belief and a sense of certainty that does not allow any other conversation to exist,” Dr Halasz told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“So, their position on the affirmative model is that if a child at any age, virtually even three-four-year-old, declares themselves to be whatever they feel they are.

“The affirmation model says that’s certainly right.”

Doctor Halasz sat down with Ms Credlin to discuss gender-affirming care and how doctors are concerned over its measures.
