Tonight was our annual winter solstice bonfire, a bit more subdued than usual, as some family members are sick and we didn't have the usual crowd of people over.

I wrote this song about what the solstice means and meant to humanity for thousands of years before Christianity. Enough to go to the effort of constructing the henge at Salisbury and in many other places across Europe.
