Rita Doyle, president of the Medical Council, harassed by youths on DART over Covid rules

Doyle posted a video of the youths on twitter commenting that she was "harassed on the Dart by young peoples who do not want to obey the rules and put others at risk"

Doyle said the youths were sitting on seats which passengers are told not to sit on due to social distancing rules and they called Doyle and others on the train "old people who should not be allowed out".

Doyle believes youths purposely sat on the wrong seat to taunt her. At Tara Street station, one of the youths threw a Covid information sign in Doyle's face as they left.

Doyle went on to say that she was appalled at the ageism and upset by the assault saying she would no longer travel on the Dart as a result.

"that’s it for me - no more travel by Dart!! Not with it"

Some of us don't have the luxury of that choice, Rita.
