Because the Night

First, I want to thank everyone for following this channel and helping it grow. I never expected 50 subscribers and I'm really flattered to see 50+ new subs here recently. As promised, we have something a little different in celebration as we pass 💯!

Although there's no award or ceremony, I'm going to call this the RebelRadio nomination for Best Female alt/punk Guitarist. The nomination goes to Marissa Paternoster for this performance of "Because the Night". Marissa is the lead guitarist and vocalist of Screaming Females. She got together with Garbage for several dates during their 2012 tour to play this Patti Smith cover. The bands went into the studio together and recorded it the following year. I think she steals the show but you'll need to watch till the end to see what I mean.

Her style reminds me of Hendrix mixed with Angus Young and a touch of Jimmy Page. I think you'll agree that she absolutely shreds her guitar. Enjoy, and thanks again for being a part of RebelRadio!
