Piano Concerto No. 14 in E flat major, K. 449 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Mozart competed this concerto for piano and orchestra in 1784 at the age of 28. This is the first composition to appear in a note book that Mozart began keeping in 1784. In this note book, Mozart would record the main themes of each composition entered, as well as the exact date of completion and any other notable information about performing the work. Mozart indicated this work was completed on the 9th of February.

Mozart was living in Vienna at the time, and was making a decent living giving subscription concerts and composing operas. It is also in 1784 that Mozart would make the acquaintance of Joseph Hayden, with the two composers quickly becoming close friends.

This concerto is comprised of three movements:
I. Allegro vivace 00:00
II. Andantino 09:27
III. Allegro ma non troppo 16:09
