Xubuntu 20.04, Focal Fossa, is a Long Term Support Release and uses the XFCE 4.14 desktop. The release notes advises users of AMD Graphics cards to wait until the first point release of 20.04.1.
There is a new core installer which provides a cut-down version of Xubuntu on an 818MB ISO file. Unfortunately, I had a lot of difficulty getting it working.
Although the normal version worked ok on my Nvidia system.
