twice as much - sittin' on a fence - processed 'stereo'
Edit for headphones. "Twice as Much" was composed of Dave Skinner and Andrew Rose and were harmony singers who also wrote much of their own material. They were signed to Immediate Records, which was run by The Rolling Stones' manager, Andrew Loog Oldham. Their only UK Top 40 success as performers was this cover in 1966 of the Jagger/Richards composition, which was their debut single. In june 1966 it reached # 25 in the UK, in September 1966 it reached # 11 in Holland . The Stones' version of the song, although recorded in December 1965 (during the "Aftermath" sessions), was not released on a Stones' album in the US until 1967, on the album "Flowers", and not in the UK until 1969 on the album "Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2)".
In 1972 Dave Skinner joined "Uncle Dog", a group including vocalist Carol Grimes. He penned most of the tracks on their album, "Old Hat." He was also a member of "Clancy". In 1977 he toured as the keyboard player with Roxy Music. He also contributed to albums by Phil Manzanera and Bryan Ferry.
