Stranded in the dreaded Bermuda Triangle, it is up to the player to craft the necessary equipment and build a makeshift base of operations. The items currently available in the game will allow enough to sustain hunger, thirst and create the gathering tools needed to make a simple structure with multiple layers. Once a raft is crafted, the player will be able to travel faster and includes a chest to store provisions. This is the extent of the game as ore is not used and there are only two areas unlocked right now.
Graphically the game is about on par with other survival titles. The frame rate was able to maintain just a little under 60, excluding a few points of freezing that recovered after a minute. Outside the need to reload the game to make the raft respond to my commands, I didn’t notice much in the way of glitches. This could be attributed to the sheer lack of content and the minimal systems in effect. You swim, gather, craft and horde.
For $15, it is a hard sell and certainly one I would recommend avoiding. It is a straight forward experience seen plenty of times before with nothing to set it apart. It is early in development, I get this, but with fleshed out competitors like Subnautica offering plenty of exploration and more in depth crafting, it is hard to compare the two.
