"What we need are critical dangerous spaces where vulnerability, anxiety can be nurtured in White students that mark their bodies as problem bodies.
This may sound high fallutin, but it works. Let me give you some examples how it works. Creating moments of trauma is important. We need forms of trauma that undermine various constructions of Whiteness than have naturalized their dominance in the world. We need a form of education that actually cultivates vulnerability in White students, a space where they are wounded, undergo moments of trauma, and narrative disorientation, cognitive disorientation and embodied disorientation in terms of their Whiteness"

"We shouldn't be worrying too much about making White kids feel too bad, because they get so much false messages about their goodness, that its actually critically important for them.
Now we don't want to induce shame, which is why they need those models--- they need to hear yeah White people can do racial justice too.
Now we don't want to cause racial tension, where then they have no way to enter the diversity conversation (on anti-White terms).
Its good for them to feel White guilt. White guilt is a really big problem, and my goal as a parent is to get my kids into and out of White guilt as soon as possible. White guilt has to happen, its a developmental need. If you believe in equity and you live in this kind of system and you're White you're going to hit White guilt. And so in my mind I need my 4 year old to hit White guilt so I can support her out of it and beyond it, and I don't want her doing it when she's 20, I want her to be well past that point."

The Ethics of Killing White Babies......
"I remember going to the last above ground Underground Weatherman convention. Sitting in a room, and the question was debated 'Was it or was it not the duty of every good revolutionary to kill all White babies?'
And at that point it seemed like a relevant framing of an issue. The logic being, hey look, through no fault of their own these White kids are going to grow up to be part of an oppressive racial establishment internationally, and so really your duty is to kill newborn White babies.
And I remember one guy kind of tentatively and apologetically suggesting that it seemed like that might be contradictory to the larger humanitarian aims of the movement. And kind of like being booed down!"
