By popular demand in this video I repeat Chem Players experiment to prepare a mixed alkali cyanide of sodium and potassium. This product can be used as a substitute for sodium cyanide or potassium cyanide as it is essentially a 1:2 mixture of both, respectively. If anhydrous sodium ferrocyanide were used instead of anhydrous potassium ferrocyanide the product would be pure sodium cyanide NaCN.
