[ WARNING: MOVIE CONTAINS GORE AND QUESTIONABLE MORALS ...... DUH ...... ]
Ok and another one for you today. Yes I know I just did one of these yesterday but really these are so quick to put together that they add padding between my radio shows and make me look more industrious than I actually am. Usually I can put one together in a matter of about an hour and the rest really is just rendering and uploading. Maybe a bit of advertising.
Anyway, today I bring to you today what I think is a classic in the lineage of movies near and dear to the hearts ove metalheads, punk rockers and cyber geeks. This one was a totally, under the radar movie that ended up being a cult classic. A post apocalyptic movie that features a higher than normal, good music ration with a few cameos here and there. It was actually the first place I ever saw the band ministry although I didn’t know I had until much later. As it stands this movie rates up there with movies like River’s Edge or Repo Man in the music classic cinema groove. Well worth watching. Just off the top of my head I know the movie features.
Iggy Pop - Cold Metal, Bad Life
Motorhead - Ace Of Spades
Ministry - Stigmata
Plot: In the future, a nuclear war has transformed the Earth into a radioactive wasteland where the sea has dried up leaving it as a post-apocalyptic desert. In the desert, A scavenger named Nomad discovers something, a piece of unknown tech. Arriving in New York City, A space marine named Moses Baxter buys the robotic head from Nomad as a Christmas present for his girlfriend Jill Grakowski, who decides to use it for one of her sculptures and in so doing unleashes an amoral, high tech Hell.
